1. Գիտնականները կարծում են, որ Լուսինն առաջացել է երկրագնդի բեկորների և Մարսի չափսերն ունեցող տիեզերական որևէ մարմնի բախումից:

2. Այն բանի համար, որ գիշերները ցերեկների նման լուսավոր լինեին, պետք կլինեին ևս 300 հզ լուսիններ, որոնցից, ի դեպ, 206 հզ 264-ը անպայման լիալուսնի տեսքով:

3. Լուսնի հակառակ կողմն ավելի խորդուբորդ է: Այն բացատրվում  է Երկրի ձգողության ուժով, որը հանգեցնում է այն բանին, որ մեր կողմից երևացող հատվածն առավել ողորկ տեսք ունենա:

4. Հնարավոր է, որ Երկիրն այլ բնական արբանյակներ ևս ունի: Կրուիտինի աստերոիդը Երկրի նկատմամբ շարժվում է օրբիտային ռեզոնանսով և մոլորակի շուրջ պտույտ է կատարում 770 տարում:

5. Լուսնի վրա մթնոլորտ չկա, սակայն դրա խառնարաններում սառեցված ջուր կա:

6. Մեր արբանյակը ևս իրենից կատարյալ գունդ չի ներկայացնում: Այն ձվաձև տեսք ունի՝ Երկրի ձգողության ուժի հետևանքով: Բացի այդ՝ նրա զանգվածային կենտրոնը ոչ թե գտնվում է տիեզերական մարմնի հենց կենտրոնում, այլ դրանից մոտ 2 կմ այն կողմ:

7. Լուսնի խառնարաններն առաջ անվանում էին հայտնի գիտնականների, նկարիչների անուններով, սակայն այժմ ՝ամերիկացի և ռուս տիեզերագնացների պատվին:

8. Երկրի արբանյակի վրա տեղի է ունենում… լուսնաշարժ: Այն կատարվում է Երկրի գրավիտացիոն ազդեցության շնորհիվ: Դրանց էպիկենտրոնը գտնվում է Լուսնի մակերևույթից մի քանի կմ ներքև:

9. Լուսնի «մթնոլորտը» կոչվում է էկզոլորտ: Այն կազմված է հելիումից, նեոնից և արգոնից:

10. Լուսինը գնալով հեռանում է Երկրից: Այն ի սկզբանե գտնվում էր մեզանից 22 000 կմ հեռավորության վրա, իսկ այսօր այդ հեռավորությունն արդեն հասել է 400 000կմ-ի:
