Հանրահայտ հայ երգչուհի Ֆլորա Մարտիրոսյանի մահվան գործով դատավարությունը դադարեցվել է ու հայտարարվել անիրավազոր։

Դատավոր Բրայան Կարին նման որոշում է կայացրել այն բանից հետո, երբ ատենակալներից մեկը ստիպված է եղել լքել իր տեղը հիվանդության պատճառով։ Պատասխանող կողմի փաստաբանները չեն համաձայնել հետագա լսումներին՝ 12-ից քիչ ատենակալների դեպքում։

55-ամյա երգչուհին մահացել է սեպսիսից Glendale Memorial Hospital հիվանդանոցում լեղապարկի վիրահատությունից մի քանի օր անց։ Ֆլորա Մարտիրոսյանի ազգականները մեղադրում են բժիշկ Մարտիրոս Միհրանյանին ու նրա օգնական Ռուբեն Վիրաբովին անփութության մեջ։ Հիվանդանոցի դեմ նույնպես սկզբում մեղադրանք էր առաջադրել, իսկ հետո հանվել։

Փաստաբան Ամանդա Մաքքլինթոքի խոսքով, բժիշկ Մարտիրոս Միհրանյանը երգչուհուն չէր նշանակել անհրաժեշտ հակաբիոտիկներ ու նրան դուրս էր գրել հիվանդանոցից, չնայած նա հետվիրահատական շրջանում բարձր ջերմություն է ունեցել։ Բժիշկների փաստաբանները պնդում են, որ իրենց հաճախորդները պահպանել են բուժման ստանդարտ ընթացակարգը ու դուրս են գրել նրան, քանի որ ջերմությունը իջել էր ու լաբորատոր հետազոտություններն էլ խախտում չէին բացահայտել։ Բացի դրանից Միհրանյանը պնդում է, որ ինքը հիվանդին նշանակել է հակաբիոտիկներ՝ այդ մասին նրա բժշկական քարտում նշված չի եղել, քանի որ երգչուհին այդ պահին չի ունեցել ապահովագրություն, ու բժիշկը նրա անվճար դեղամիջոց է տվել։

Երգչուհու ընտանիքը ներկայացնող փաստաբանը նշել է, որ նոր դատավարությունը նշանակվել է մայիսի 15-ին, սակայն նրանք նաեւ մտադիր են խորհրդակցել ընդդիմախոսների հետ, որպեսզի փորձեն պայմանավորվել ատենակալների ընտրության հարցում։  Ջեյմս Օ՝Քելահանի խոսքով, կողմերը նաեւ ամենայն հավանականությամբ չեն ցանկանա փոխել դատավոր Բրայան Կարիին երկրորդ դատական նիստի ժամանակ։
