Արցախի Մարդու իրավունքների պաշտպան Ռուբեն Մելիքյանի խոսքով՝ «Շանթ» հ/ը «Դիրքերում» հաղորդաշարի անձնակազմին ադրբեջանական զինուժի կողմից գնդակոծման և նմանատիպ միջադեպերի դեպքերում անհրաժեշտ է խոսել ոչ միայն հումանիտար իրավունքի կիրառելիությունից, այլև՝ ընդհանրապես մարդու իրավունքների պաշտպանությունից:
Նա Tert.am-ի հետ զրույցում ասաց․ «Շանթ» հ/ը-ի անձնակազմի հետ պատահածը որևէ կերպ չի տարբերվում սահմանային այլ միջադեպերից, երբ սպանվում, վիրավորում են զինծառայողներ»:
Հիշեցնենք, որ մայիսի 10-ի երեկոյան, ժամը 18-ի սահմաններում արցախա-ադրբեջանական շփման գծի հյուսիսային հատվածում գնդակոծության էր ենթարկվել «Շանթ» հեռուստաընկերության «Դիրքերում» հաղորդաշարի նկարահանող խումբը:
Ռուբեն Մելիքյանի խոսքով՝ որևէ ձևով վտանգ չսպառնացող իրադրության դեպքում կրակ բաց թողնելն անընդունելի է: «Այս տեսանկյունից ես չեմ ցանկանում միջադեպը զանազանել մեր զինծառայողների նկատմամբ կիրառվող ուժից այն իրավիճակներում, երբ նրանք վտանգ չեն սպառնում ադրբեջանական կողմի համար»,- նշեց Արցախի ՄԻՊ-ը:
Ռուբեն Մելիքյանը նաև նկատեց, որ վերը նշյալ միջադեպից մի հետևություն մենք պետք է անենք. անվտանգության նկատառումներից ելնելով՝ պետք է ավելի զգոն լինենք: Նա նկատի ունենալով այն հանգամանքը, որ նկարահանող անձնակազմը եղել է զինվորական համազգեստով՝ նշեց․ «Լրագրողի հատուկ պաշտպանությունը ավարտվում է այնտեղ, որտեղ լրագրողը չի կարող ցույց տալ որևէ ձևով, որ ինքը լրագրող է»,- ասաց նա՝ նշելով, որ այդ պատճառով է, որ իրենք խնդիրը չեն դիտարկում որպես լրագրողների նկատմամբ կիրառված խախտում:
Ռուբեն Մելիքյանը հաստատեց, որ ինքն անձամբ երբեք ոչ մի իրավիճակում սահման զինվորական համազգեստով չի գնում: «Մարդիկ սահմանում շատ հաճախ զինվորական համազգեստով են լինում: Ես ցանկանում եմ, որ նրանք հասկանան, որ դա խնդիր է»,- ասաց նա:
