Սիրիայի նախագահն անարդյունք Է համարում Ժնեւի բանակցությունները

Սիրիայի նախագահ Բաշար Ասադն այն կարծիքին Է, որ Սիրիայի հակամարտության կրագավորման շուրջ Ժնեւում կայացած բանակցություններն անարդյունք Էին: Այդ մասին նա ասել Է բլառուսական ՕՆՏ հեռուստաալիքին տված հարցազրույցում:
«Ինչ վերաբերում Է Ժնեւին, այն մինչ այժմ ընդամենը ԶԼՄ-ների համար հանդիպման վայր Է մնում: Ժնեւյան հանդիպումներից ոչ մեկում ոչ մի կոնկրետ բան չի արվել, նույնիսկ մեկ միլիոներորդ տոկոսի չափով»,- հայտարարել Է Ասադը: 
 
Նրա խոսքով՝ Ժնեւը մի գործընթաց Է, որի նպատակը Սիրիայի իշխանություններից զիջումների հասնելն Է: 
 
«Բայց ես ոչ մի զիջման չեմ գնա, քանի որ նախագահն իրավունք չունի ազգային մասշտաբի զիջումներ անել,- ասել Է նա:- Նման որոշումներն ընդունվում են համազգային, համաժողովրդական մակարդակով, դրա համար հանրաքվե Է անհրաժեշտ»: 
Ասադը նշել Է, որ ինքը կարող Է զիջումների գնալ «անձնական հարցերում, բայց ոչ այն հարցերում, որոնք վերաբերում են երկրի ինքնիշխանությանը, ազգային շահերին, սահմանադրությանն ու անկախությանը»:
 
ՄԱԿ-ի գլխավոր քարտուղարի հատուկ ներկայացուցիչ Ստաֆան դե Միստուրան մայիսի 11-ին հայտնել Է, որ Սիրիայի իրադրության կարգավորման շուրջ բանակցությունների վեցերորդ փուլը Ժնեւում տեղի կունենա մայիսի 16-19-ը: «Սիրիայի շուրջ բանակցությունները կկայանան մայիսի 16-19-ը, դրանք կլինեն համեմատաբար կարճատեւ գործնական բանակցություններ»,-նշել Է դե Միստուրան: Նրա խոսքով՝ կողմերը կջանան կայունացնել այն գործընթացը, որն ավելի վաղ գործարկվել Է Աստանայում:
 
«Սիրիայի ժողովրդի համար գերակայություն Է մնում սպանությունների դադարեցումը»,- ընդգծել Է դե Միստուրան, հաղորդել Է ՏԱՍՍ-ը:
