Материнство — уже само по себе подвиг. Но иногда случаются ситуации, в которых матери во всех смыслах слова жертвуют собой ради своих детей. Одну такую историю мы сегодня и расскажем…

Год назад 23-летняя американка Дженнифер Дункан везла своего 8-месячного сына Дэниела в детский сад. На мосту женщина попала в небольшую аварию. Никто не пострадал, Дженнифер достала сына из авто и стала с ним в стороне, ожидая приезда полиции. В тот момент Дженнифер думала, что они с малышом в безопасности, но она сильно ошибалась.

На этом же месте случилась еще одна авария. Две машины не смогли разминуться, и одна из них столкнула Дженнифер и Дэниела с моста. В этот момент женщина как можно сильнее прижала малыша к себе, стараясь защитить его. Пролетев 9 м, мама с сыном приземлились прямо на асфальт…

Удивительно, но малыш остался полностью невредимым. А вот Дженнифер повезло гораздо меньше. В больнице у женщины обнаружили перелом таза, ребер, ноги, травму позвоночника и прочие увечья.

В общей сложности женщине пришлось перенести 14 операций на протяжении 10 месяцев. К сожалению, врачам не удалось спасти ногу Дженнифер. Сейчас она заново учится ходить, используя протез. При этом женщина говорит, что всё это время не опускала руки только благодаря своему сыночку.
