Ավարտվել է Վրաստանի մայրաքաղաք Թբիլիսիում անցկացվող Հարավկովկասյան 14-րդ մեդիա համաժողովը, որի առանցքային թեման կեղծ լրատվությունն էր, ապատեղեկատվության եւ քարոզչության տարածումը ավանդական եւ առցանց մեդիայում, ինչպես նաեւ դրա բացասական հետեւանքները խոսքի ազատության համար:

 «Լրագրությունը բախվում է բազմաթիվ մարտահրավերների՝ կապված ապատեղեկատվության եւ քարոզչության հետ, որոնք կաշկանդում են անհատին իր կարծիքը ազատորեն արտահայտելուց եւ աղավաղում են հանրային կարծիքը, ինչպես նաեւ բաց եւ անկեղծ մտքերի փոխանակումը: Մամուլում բազմակարծության, ինչպես նաեւ մեդիա եւ թվային գրագիտության շնորհիվ ավելի հեշտ կարող ենք հաղթահարել մարտահրավերները»,- «Արմենպրես»-ի հաղորդմամբ՝ ասել է  Մամուլի ազատության հարցերով ԵԱՀԿ ներկայացուցչի գրասենյակի ղեկավար Ֆրեյն Մարոևիչը:

Հայաստանից, Ադրբեջանից, Վրաստանից  ավելի քան 80 լրագրողներ, կառավարական, հասարակական եւ ակադեմիական ոլորտների ներկայացուցիչներ Ռուսաստանից եւ Լիտվայից Վրաստան ժամանած միջազգային փորձագետների հետ միասին մասնակցել են երկօրյա միջոցառմանը:

Նրանք մշակել են մի քանի հնարավոր մոտեցումներ այս խնդիրների լուծման համար եւ շեշտել են խոսքի և մամուլի ազատությանն առնչվող միջազգային հանձնառություններին հավատարիմ մնալու անհրաժեշտությունը: Ամենամյա համաժողովը ծառայում է որպես  հարթակ՝ քննարկելու ոլորտի մարտահրավերները, ներառյալ մամուլի ազատության մակարդակը, մասնավորապես, ԵԱՀԿ տարածաշրջանում եւ Հարավային Կովկասում: 

«Վրաստանը գոհունակությամբ կշարունակի այս կարեւոր միջոցառման հյուրընկալումը հետագա տարիներին: Մեր կառավարությունը ջանք չի խնայում երկրում մամուլի ազատությունն ապահովելու համար»,- ասել է Վրաստանի փոխարտգործնախարար Խաթունա Թոթլաձեն:
