Մայիսի 3-ի հայտնի դեպքից հետո բոլոր թեկնածուները, որոնք հրաժարվել էին իրենց ինքնաբացարկի դիմումներից, արդեն խոսել են և մեկնաբանել իրենց անհեռանկարային քայլը: Նրանցից ոմանք հայտարարել են, որ հրաժարվում են մանդատից, ոմանք հայտարարել են, որ դաշինքի առաջնորդ Գագիկ Ծառուկյանի առաջին իսկ ցանկության դեպքում պատրաստ են հրաժարվել մանդատից:

Սակայն կա մեկը, ով դեռ չի խոսել, և այդ մեկը Խաչիկ Մանուկյանն է: Նա ԿԸՀ-ի հայտնի նիստից հետո հենց նույն օրը լքել է հանրապետությունը, կամ, եթե իրերը կոչենք իրենց անունով, պարզապես փախել է երկրից և մինչև հիմա հանրապետությունում չէ:
Լավատեղյակ աղբյուրները պնդում են, որ նա ներկայումս գտնվում է շատ աննախանձելի վիճակում: Նա վաղուց հասկացել է, որ իր քայլը անհեռանկարային և չմտածված քայլ էր, հասկացել է, որ այժմ մնացել է լիովին մենակ իր, և այժմ ցայտնոտի մեջ ընկած միջնորդներ է փնտրում, որպեսզի նրանք բարեխոսեն Գագիկ Ծառուկյանի մոտ իր համար:

Այնինչ նրա կինը այս օրերին հարցազրույց է տվել լրատվականներից մեկին և նշել, որ Խաչիկ Մանուկյանը գտնվում է գործուղման մեջ: Հասկանալի է, որ դա իրականությանը չի համապատասխանում, քանի որ «գործուղման» սկիզբը զարմանալիորեն համընկավ ԿԸՀ-ի նիստի հետ, որից հետո Խաչիկ Մանուկյանը պարզապես չքվեց: Երկրորդ, անգամ գործուղման մեջ գտնվող ԱԺ պատգամավորը հաճախ հասանելի է լինում հայաստանյան լրատվամիջոցների համար, հատկապես երբ գտնվում է որևէ կարևոր գործընթացի կիզակետում, այնինչ Խաչիկ Մանուկյանը պարզապես հօդս է ցնդել:

Խաչիկ Մանուկյանի կինը նաև հայտարարել է, որ իր ամուսնուն ընտրողներն են պահանջել, որպեսզի նա վերցնի իր մանդատը և գնա Ազգային Ժողով: Այլ կերպ ասած Խաչիկ Մանուկյանը իր կնոջը հուշել է, որ իր տղամարդկային արժանապատվության բացակայությունը և պայմանավորվածությունից հետ կանգնելը բացատրի ընտրողների կամքով: Հետաքրիքր է, այս օրերին հօդս ցնդած Խաչիկ Մանուկյանը ինչպե՞ս է պատրաստվում պաշտպանել իր ընտրողների շահերը, արտերկրի՞ց, ընդահատակ անցնելո՞վ թե հօդս ցնդելով: Հերիք չէ Խաչիկ Մանուկյանը ապացուցեց, որ տարրական տղամարդու խոսքը չի կարողանում պահպանել և որպես մարդ զրո է, այժմ էլ իր քայլերով ապացուցում է, որ որպես պատգամավոր նույնպես զրո է, քանի որ կնոջ դեմքով ընտրողների վրա հղում անողը առնվազն պետք է հանդիպեր իր ընտրողներին և գոնե տեղեկացներ նրանց, որ վերցրել է իր մանդատը, այլ ոչ թե թողներ, որ ընտրողները այդ մասին տեղեկանան լրատվամիջոցներից և նույն լրատվամիջոցներից էլ տեղեկանան, որ Խաչիկ Մանուկյանը արդեն քանի օր է «թռած» է և իր փոխարեն կինն է պարզաբանումներ տալիս լրատավամիոջցենրին:

Ի դեպ, լավատեղյակ աղբյուները ասում են, որ Խաչիկ Մանուկյանը վաղուց արդեն զղջացել է իր արարքի համար և այժմ գտնվում է հոգեպես ծանր վիճակում, սակայն իր սխալ արարքի գիտակցումը թույլ չի տալիս գալ և անձամբ ներկայանալ Գագիկ Ծառուկյանին, ինչպես արեցին մյուսները, դա է պատճառը, որ նա սկզբից կնոջ միջոցով մեսիջ հղեց,այն է, երբ վերադառնա Խաչիկ Մանուկյանը անպայման կհանդիպի Գագիկ Ծառուկյանի և այժմ միջնորդ է փնտրում, որպեսզի իր համար բարեխոսեն, ինչից հետո մեղայականով վերադառնա և հրաժարվի մանդատաից:

Հասկանալի է, որ Խաչիկ Մանուկյանին կարելի է այժմ միայն խղճալ, քանի որ հանուն մանդատի, պահի ազդեցության տակ ընկնելով, նման անելանելի վիճակում հայտնված անձնավորոււթյունը կարող է միայն խղճահարություն առաջացնել:
