Արցախյան հերոսամարտի ժամանակ որդուն կորցրած մոր համար միակ սփոփանքը՝ հանուն հայրենիքի զոհվելն էր:
Այս մասին «Արմենպրես»-ի հետ ունեցած զրույցի ժամանակ նշեց Արցախյան հերոսամարտի ժամանակ զոհված Հայկ Ստեփանյանի մայրը՝ Ազգանուշ Ստեփանյանը:
«20 տարեկանից գնաց Արցախ, 24 տարեկան էր, երբ զոհվեց: Նախ Կրասնոսելսկ գնաց, այնտեղից էլ Մարտակերտի շրջանի տարածքներում է կռվել: Սկզբում տեղյակ չէի, տղաները հետո ասացին, ինչ արեցինք՝ հետ չկարողացանք պահել»,-նշեց Հայկի մայրը:
Հայկ Ստեփանյանը ծառայել է Խորհրդային բանակում, ապա զորացրվելուց հետո ցանկություն է հայտնել ծովային դառնալ ու ընդունվել է Ուկրաինայի Նիկոլաեվի ծովային դպրոցը: Արձակուրդի էր եկել Հայաստան ու տեսնելով, որ բոլոր ընկերները մեկնում են Արցախ՝ ինքն էլ որոշում ու մեկնում է:
«Ասում էր՝ ինչպես չգնամ: Պետք է գնամ, որ մյուսների հետ չթողնենք, որ թուրքերն առաջ գան: Եղբայրն էլ Հայկի նման 1992-ին մեկնեց Արցախ: Եղբայրը մեկ տարի առաջ մահացավ»,-պատմեց մայրը:
Տարիներ անց էլ, ժամանակը մոր վիշտը չի փարատել, բայց մոր համար միակ սփոփանքն այն է, որ որդին հանուն հայրենիքի է զոհվել:
«Պայքարել է թշնամու դեմ, հանուն մեր ժողովրդի ազատության: Դա է հպարտություն է, թե չէ վիշտը վիշտ է՝ չի փարատվի, չի մոռացվի»,-նշեց տիկին Ազգանուշը:
