Թե ինչպես 1992թ. մայիսի 9-ին հրեշտակները վերադարձան Սուրբ Ղազանչեցոցի բակ

Սուրբ Ամենափրկիչ Ղազանչեցոց եկեղեցին գտնվում է Շուշիի կենտրոնում և նրա մայր տաճարն է: Այն կառուցվել է 1868-1887 թթ.-ին և հանդիսանում է հայկական լեռնաշխարհի երբևէ կառուցված եկեղեցական-ճարտարապետական գլուխգործոցներից մեկը: Արցախի երկրորդ հոգևոր կենտրոնն է Գանձասարից հետո: Ներկայումս այն Արցախի հոգևոր թեմի առաջնորդի նստավայրն է:

 Վանական համալիրը բաղկացած է եկեղեցուց և զանգակատնից: Զանգակատան կառուցման մասին առկա են բազմաթիվ արձանագրություններ, որոնցից մեկում արևելյան պատի վրա առկա է վկայություն, որ զանգակատունը կառուցվել է Ղազանչի գյուղից Գաբրիել Հովսեփյան-Բադիրյանցի հիշատակին: 1980թ.-ի մարտին՝ Մուսավաթական Ադրբեջանի կողմից Շուշիի հայության կոտորածից հետո եկեղեցին դադարում է գործելուց: Ադրբեջանի իշխանության տակ գտնվելու մոտ 70 տարիների ընթացքում կործանվել են տաճարի մուտքի մոտ դրված հրեշտակների արձանները, իսկ տաճարը ծառայեցվել է որպես ամբար, ապա՝ ավտոտնակ:

Ի դեպ՝ մի պատմություն կա, որը կապվում է Շուշիի ազատագրման օրը քաղաքում՝ եկեղեցու դիմաց արված այս լուսանկարի հետ. երբ հայ ազատամարտիկները մտան քաղաք ու տեսան, որ եկեղեցին ավերված է, իսկ հրեշտակների արձանները՝ ոչնչացված, եկեղեցու մոտ բերեցին իրենց երեխաներին, որպեսզի Ղազանչեցոցը նորից լինի հրեշտակներով զարդարված: Այս լուսանկարում այդ փոքրիկներից մեկը հրեշտակի թևերով է, ինչը սակայն, ոչ մի կերպ նախատեսված չէր: Թևերը իրականում ազատամարտիկի ձեռքում եղած թաշկինակի շնորհիվ են առաջացել, որով նա՝ երեխային գրկելուց առաջ մաքրել էր արցունքները: Սակայն արդյունքում ստացվել է խորհրդանշական այս լուսանկարը, որն առանց հուզմունքի դիտել հնարավոր չէ: 

Նշենք, որ Արցախյան ազատամարտի տարիներին ադրբեջանական կողմը եկեղեցին  ծառայեցնում էր Ստեփանակերտը և շրջակայքը ռմբակոծելու համար և որպես Գրադ համալիրի պահեստ:

  1992թ.-ի արցախյան ազատամարտի ուժերի կողմից Շուշի իազատագրումից հետո եկեղեցին՝ որպես հոգևոր կենտրոն, սկսում է գործել:
