Սիրելի երկրապահներ, Արցախյան ազատամարտի հարգելի վետերաններ,

սրտանց շնորհավորում եմ Երկրապահի օրվա առթիվ:
Մեր պատմության վճռորոշ բոլոր պահերին ազգի ամենանվիրյալ զավակներն են միշտ ոտքի ելել ու ամեն անգամ աշխարհին ապացուցել են, որ հայը ոչ միայն ստեղծագործ աշխատանքով, այլ նաև զենքով գիտե պաշտպանել իր հարատևելու իրավունքը: Այդպես էր նաև Արցախյան ազատամարտի տարիներին, երբ կայացման փուլում գտնվող մեր պետականությանը սպառնացող արտաքին վտանգը դիմագրավելու համար զենք վերցրին լավագույն հայորդիներն ու մարտնչեցին՝ ոչ միայն և ոչ այնքան զենքով, որքան՝ ոգով ու կամքով: Ու հաղթեցի՛նք՝ մեր միասնականությամբ, անկոտրում կամքով ու աննկուն ոգով:
Եվ այսօր կարող ենք վստա՛հաբար ասել, որ Երկրապահի օրը, որը մեր անկախ պետության ամենանվիրական տոներից է, իսկապես համաժողովրդական է ու յուրաքանչյուր հայինն է, որից սնվում, պայքարելու ու նոր ծրագրեր իրագործելու լիցքեր ենք ստանում բոլորս: 
Այս օրը նաև մեր զոհված հերոսների հիշատակը հերթական անգամ հարգելու և նրանց վաստակը վերագնահատելու առիթ է: Անկեղծորեն հպարտ ենք, որ հանուն հայրենիքի նվիրաբերված նրանց կյանքերն այսօր թե՛ իրենց զինակից ընկերների և թե՛ մեզանից յուրաքանչյուրի կողմից արժեվորված են անվերապահորեն, ինչն արտահայտվում է թե՛ բանակի մարտունակությունն ամրապնդելու և թե՛ պետության առջև դրված խնդիրները լուծելու դժվարին և պատասխանատու, միաժամանակ՝ շնորհակալ գործում: 
Մեր խոնարհումը բերելով բոլոր մեր հերոսների շիրիմներին՝ նաև մեր երախտագիտությունն ենք հայտնում զոհված մեր ազատամարտիկների ու զինվորների ծնողներին՝ քաջ հայորդիներ լույս աշխարհ բերելու և դաստիարակելու համար: Նաև վստահեցնում ենք, որ թե՛ Երևանի քաղաքապետարանը և թե՛ անձամբ ես շարունակելու ենք լինել կորստի ցավը կրած ազատամարտիկների ու զինծառայողների ընտանիքների կողքին, ինչպես նաև շարունակական աջակցություն ենք ցուցաբերելու Հայրենիքի հանդեպ իրենց պարտքը կատարած բոլոր երկրապահ-կամավորականներին:
