Սիրիացի փախստականները որդուն անվանակոչել են Կանադայի վարչապետի պատվին

Մոհամմեդ եւ Աֆրա Բիլանները, որոնք սիրիացի փախստականներ են եւ ապաստան են գտել Կանադայում, նորածին որդուն անվանակոչել են Կանադայի վարչապետի պատվին, փոխանցում է BBC-ի ռուսական ծառայությունը:
Ջասթին Թրյուդո Բիլանը լույս աշխարհ է եկել հինգշաբթի Կալգարիում: Նա Մոհամմեդի եւ Աֆրայի երրորդ երեխան է:
Նախկինում երիտասարդ ամուսինները բնակվել են Սիրիայում, որտեղ Մոհամմեդը վարսավիր էր: Կառավարական բանակի զինվորները նրան կալանավորել են եւ մի քանի օր արգելափակված պահել. ինչպես պարզվել է՝ սխալմամբ: Դրանից հետո նրանք որոշել են ճակատագիրն այլեւ փորձության չենթարկել, եւ անցյալ տարվա փետրվարին Մոնրեալ են ժամանել, որտեղ նրանց առաջին տպավորությունն անսովոր ցուրտն էր:
Հիմա նրանք եւ նրանց երեխաները փախստականի պաշտոնական կարգավիճակ են ստացել: 29-ամյա Մոհամմեդը բանջարեղենի խանութում վաճառող է աշխատում: Ամուսինները կատարելագործել են անգլերենը եւ իրենց կյանքից միանգամայն գոհ են:
2015 թվականի նոյեմբերից, երբ Ջասթին Թյուդոն վարչապետ դարձավ, երկրիը ընդունել է սիրիացի ավելի քան 40 հազար փախստականի: Նրանցից մոտ հազարը բնակվում է Կալգարիում:
Վարչապետը ժամանող սիրիացիներին օդանավակայանում անձամբ է դիմավորել, իսկ այս տարվա հումվարին, երբ ԱՄՆ նոր նախագահ Դոնալդ Թրամփը հրաման ստորագրեց, որով սահմանափակվում է մի քանի իսլամական երկրներից քաղաքացիների մուտքը, հայտարարեց, որ այս հարցում Կանադայի քաղաքականությունն անփոփոխ կմնա:
«Նա հրաշալի մարդ է: Նա մարդկանց օգնում է: Մենք ցանկանում էինք ինչ-որ ձեւով մեր երախտագիտությունը հայտնել նրան եւ ամբողջ Կանադային»,- ասել է Աֆրա Բիլանը:
Սա արդեն նման երկրորդ դեպքն է: Այս տարվա փետրվարին Սիրիայից ամուսնական զույգը, որը բնակվում է Օնտարիո նահանգում, նույնպես որդուն Ջասթին է անվանել:
