ԼՐԱԳԻՐ / ԵԱՀԿ-ն ու Հայաստանի ԱԳՆ-ն հայտարարել են, որ ԵԱՀԿ Երեւանի գրասենյակը կփակվի, քանի որ այդպես էլ չի հաջողվել հաղթահարել Ադրբեջանի բողոքը: Բաքուն պահանջել է Երեւանում ԵԱՀԿ առաքելության փակում, իսկ քանի որ ԵԱՀԿ գրասենյակը որեւէ երկրում կարող է տեղակայվել կոնսենսուսով, Բաքվի պահանջով Երեւանի գրասենյակը փաստացի կփակվի: Ավելի վաղ Բաքուն փակել էր ԵԱՀԿ գրասենյակը նաեւ իր մոտ, երբ ժողովրդավարության հարցերի առնչությամբ սրվեց հարաբերությունն Արեւմուտքի հետ:

Փաստորեն, Երեւանում ԵԱՀԿ գրասենյակը վերջինն էր Հարավային Կովկասում, եւ այն կփակվի: Այդ կապակցությամբ Հայաստանի կառուցողական դիրքորոշումը ողջունել են ԵԱՀԿ առաջատար պետությունները, իսկ ԱՄՆ ներկայացուցչությունը կոչ է արել ԵԱՀԿ-ին գտնել Հայաստանում գործունեությունը շարունակելու եւ պետության ժողովրդավարական զարգացման գործին աջակցելու նոր ձեւաչափեր ու տարբերակներ:

Բաքուն Երեւանի ԵԱՀԿ գրասենյակի գործունեությունից դժգոհել է այն պատճառով, թե գրասենյակը աջակցում է Ադրբեջանի հետ սահմանամերձ բնակավայրերում ականազերծման աշխատանքներին, ինչն Ադրբեջանի կարծիքով հետկոնֆլիկտային վերականգնման գործընթաց է: Փաստորեն, Բաքուն ԵԱՀԿ-ին մեղադրել է աշխատանքի հետկոնֆլիկտային ռեժիմին աջակցելու համար, ինչն այլ կերպ հնարավոր է մեկնաբանել՝ ստատուս-քվոյի ամրագրմանն աջակցություն: Փաստորեն, Ադրբեջանը մեղադրում է ԵԱՀԿ-ին, որ աջակցում են ստատուս-քվոյի «խաղաղ» ռեժիմի մոտեցմանը:
