Վրաստանի Սահմանադրության ուղղումների համաժողովրդական քննարկումը կսկսվի մայիսի 5-ին

 Վրաստանի խորհրդարանն 80 «կողմ» եւ մեկ «դեմ» ձայներով հաստատել Է Սահմանադրության վերանայման նախագծի համաժողովրդական քննարկման կազմակերպման հանձնախումբը: Համաժողովրդական քննարկումը կսկսվի մայիսի 5-ին եւ կավարտվի հունիսին, տեղեկացնում Է «Արմենպրես»-ը՝ հղում անելով Sputnik-ին: 
Հանձնախմբի ստեղծումը եւ համաժողովրդական քննարկումն անհրաժեշտ ընթացակարգ Է խորհրդարանում երկրի Սահմանադրության մեջ ուղղումներ մտցնելու նախաձեռնումից հետո, որոնք, այլ բաների թվում, ենթադրում են ուղղակի նախագահական ընտրությունների վերացումը: Հանձնախմի կազմում կլինի ինը մարդ:       
Վրաստանի գլխավոր օրենքում ուղղումների նախագիծը մշակել Է Պետական սահմանադրական հանձնախումբը, որն աշխատել Է 2016 թվականի դեկտեմբերից մինչեւ 2017 թվականի ապրիլի վերջը: Հանձնախմբում քվեարկության պահին դրան բոյկոտ են հայտարարել բոլոր յոթ ընդդիմադիր կուսակցությունները, իսկ ոչ կառավարական կազմակերպությունները եւ փորձագետների մի մասը դեմ են քվեարկել: Դրանից հետո նախագիծը ներկայացվել Է խորհրդարան:    
Ընդդիմությունը եւ ոչ կառավարական կազմակերպությունները, որոնք մասնակցում Էին սահմանադրական հանձնախմբի աշխատանքին, ինչպես նաեւ Վրաստանի նախագահ Գեորգի Մարգվելաշվիլին դեմ են ուղղակի նախագահական ընտրությունների վերացմանը, բարձր ընտրական արգելքին, ընտրական դաշինքների ստեղծման արգելքին եւ խորհրդարանական ընտրությունների ադյունքներով մանդատների բաշխման մեթոդին:
