Կորեայի Հանրապետության հարյուր հազարավոր քաղաքացիներ են մայիսի 4-ին մասնակցել երկրի նախագահի ընտրությունների վաղաժամկետ քվեարկությանը: Ինչպես հայտնել Է Ազգային ընտրական հանձնաժողովը (ԱԸՀ), առավոտյան ժամը 9-ի (Երեւանի ժամանակով ժամը 04:00-ի) դրությամբ քվեաթերթիկները տուփերի մեջ Էր գցել ավելի քան 590 հազար մարդ, տեղեկացնում Է «Արմենպրես»-ը: 
«Սպասվում Է, որ վաղաժամկետ քվեարկությանը, որը կտեւի մինչեւ մայիսի 5-ը, կմասնակցեն Էլ ավելի շատ ընտրողներ»,-այդ կապակցությամբ նշել Է ԱԸՀ-ն: Այսպես, 2014 թվականին անցկացված տեղական ընտրություններում վաղօրոք քվեարկել Էր երկրում գրանցված 42,4 մլն ընտրողների 11,5 տոկոսը կամ ընտրություններին ներկայացած բոլոր քաղաքացիների 20,2 տոկոսը:
Բոլոր քվեաթերթիկները պահվելու են կնքված չհրկիզվող պահարաններում, որոնք կբացեն միայն մայիսի 9-ի երեկոյան նախագահական ընտրությունների ավարտվելուց հետո: 
Պետական բարձրագույն պաշտոնի համար այժմ պայքար են մղում 13 հավակնորդներ, գրանցված թեկնածուներից եւս երկուսն ավելի վաղ հրաժարվել են նախընտրական մրցարշավին մասնակցելուց: Վերջին սոցոլոգիական ուսումնասիրության համաձայն, առայժմ նրանցից առավել մեծ ժողովրդականություն Է վայելում «Տոբուրո» լիբերալ Դեմոկրատական կուսակցության նախկին առաջնորդ Մուն Չժե Ինը: Նրան ցուցաբերվող աջակցության վարկանիշը կազմում Է 42,2 տոկոս, հաղորդել Է ՏԱՍՍ-ը:
