Լիտվայում ՀՀ դեսպան Տիգրան Մկրտչյանը մայիսի 3-ին հանդիպեց Լիտվայի մանկավարժական համալսարանի ռեկտոր, ակադեմիկոս Ալգիրդաս Գայժուտիսի հետ։ Այս մասին «Արմենպրես»-ին տեղեկացրին ՀՀ արտաքին գործերի նախարարության մամուլի, տեղեկատվության և հասարակայնության հետ կապի վարչությունից:
Հանդիպման ընթացքում քննարկվեց Հայկական պետական մանկավարժական համալսարանի հետ համագործակցության ընթացքը։ Փոխադարձ ընդգծվեց ուսանողների, ինչպես նաև պրոֆեսորադասախոսական անձնակազմի փոխանակման ծրագրերի ընդլայնման անհրաժեշտությունը։
Ռեկտոր Գայժուտիսը նշեց, որ, լինելով մշակութաբան, մեծ հիացմունք է տածում հայոց պատմության և մշակույթի նկատմամբ և անչափ ուրախ կլինի Լիտվայի մանկավարժական համալսարանում հյուրընկալել հայկական մշակութային, գիտակրթական տարբեր միջոցառումներ։
Դեսպան Մկրտչյանը հույս հայտնեց, որ նման համագործակցությունը մոտ ապագայում իրականություն կդառնա։
