Ինչպես հաղորդում են անգլիացի գիտնականները, ընդեղենի շարքից հատկապես օգտակար է սալորաչիրը: Եթե գեր մարդիկ օրական նվազագույնը 2 անգամ մեկական բուռ սալորաչիր ուտեն, ապա հնարավոր կլինի հաղթահարել անվերահսկելի սովը և նիհարել:
Ինչպես տեղեկացնում է MedicalDaily–ն, այս եզրակացությունը հակասում է այն պնդմանը, որ սալորաչիրը շատ կալորիաներ և շաքարի մեծ քանակություն է պարունակում, որոնք քաշի ավելացման են հանգում: Նաև հայտնի է, որ սալորաչիրը օգնում է կարգավորել մարսողական համակարգը:
Փորձաքննության է կատարվել 100 գեր տղամարդկանց և կանանց միջև՝ քաշային և ախորժակի փոփոխություններին հետևելով: Տղամարդկանց մի մասին թույլատրվել է օրական 170 գրամ չափաբաժնով սալորաչրի նախաճաշ ուտել, իսկ կանանց մի մասին՝ 140 գրամով: Նշենք, որ առհասարակ՝ դիետոլոգները խորհուրդ չեն տալիս օրական 30 գրամից ավել ուտել:
Հետազոտության ավարտին արդյունքը նկատելի էր. նիհարողների մոտ երեք ամիսվա ընթացքում մոտավորապես 2 կգ քաշ և 2.5 սմ մարմնի տրամագծի նվազում է նկատվել:
