Ապրիլի 24. ողջ աշխարհի հայությունն այսօր 102-րդ անգամ ոգեկոչում է Հայոց ցեղասպանության զոհերի հիշատակը

Այսօր լրանում է 1915թ. Հայոց ցեղասպանության 102-րդ տարելիցը: Ապրիլի 24-ը հավաքական օր է. այս օրը ողջ աշխարհի հայությունը ոգեկոչում է Հայոց ցեղասպանության զոհերի հիշատակը, սակայն հայերի ջարդերը սկսվել են դեռևս 19-րդ դարի վերջին: 1892-1923 թվականներին Համիդյան Թուրքիան, այնուհետև երիտթուրքերի կառավարությունը զանգվածային տեղահանության են ենթարկել և բնաջնջել Արևմտյան Հայաստանի, Կիլիկիայի և Օսմանյան կայսրության նահանգների հայ բնակչությունը։
Գլխատվել է մտավորականությունը. 1915թ. ապրիլի 24-ին Կոստանդնուպոլսում ձերբակալվել և աքսորի ճամփին սրի են մատնվել 600 հայազգի մտավորականներ, որոնց թվում՝ Դանիել Վարուժանը, Գրիգոր Զոհրապը, Ռուբեն Զարդարյանը, Սիամանթոն, Ռուբեն Սևակը և այլք:
Վիճակագրական տվյալների համաձայն` Օսմանյան կայսրությունում կոտորվել է 66 քաղաքների և մոտ 2500 գյուղերի հայ բնակչությունը՝ մոտ 1.5 մլն մարդ։ Թալանվել և ավերվել է 2350 եկեղեցի ու վանք։ Ոչնչացվել է 1500 դպրոց ու վարժարան։
1919-1920 թթ. Փարիզի խաղաղության կոնֆերանսում հրապարակվել է հայությանը պատճառած վնասի չափը՝ 14 միլիարդ 598 միլիոն 510 հազար ֆրանկ արևմտահայությանը, իսկ արևելահայությանը՝ 4 միլիարդ 532 միլիոն 472 հազար ֆրանկ:
Ցեղասպանության հիմնական կազմակերպիչներ են համարվում երիտթուրքերի առաջնորդներ Թալեաթը, Ջեմալը և Էնվերը, ինչպես նաև «Հատուկ կազմակերպության» ղեկավար Բեհաեդդին Շաքիրը: Հայերի ցեղասպանությանը զուգահեռ Օսմանյան կայսրությունում տեղի էին ունենում ասորիների և Պոնտոսի հույների ջարդերը:
Հայոց ցեղասպանության ճանաչման պահանջը սկիզբ է առել Խորհրդային միության տարիներից, և առաջինն այն ճանաչել է Ուրուգվայը 1965 թվականին: Հայոց ցեղասպանությունը ճանաչած երկրները 28-ն են՝ Բրազիլիա, Լյուքսեմբուրգ, Ավստրիա, Բոլիվիա, Շվեդիա, Ֆրանսիա, Հունաստան, Վատիկան, Կանադա, Լիբանան, Լիտվա, Լեհաստան և այլն:
Պետություններից զատ Հայոց ցեղասպանությունը ճանաչել են բազմաթիվ միջազգային կազմակերպություններ` Եվրոպական միությունը, Եվրոպայի խորհուրդը, Եվրոպական շարժումը, Եկեղեցիների համաշխարհային միությունը և այլն: Հայոց ցեղասպանությունը ընդունել են ԱՄՆ-ի և այլ երկրների մոտ մեկ հարյուրյակ նահանգներ, նահանգային խորհրդարաններ և այլ կառույցներ:b
