Հայաստանի Հանրապետությունը պետք է ստանձնի Հայոց ցեղասպանության հետևանքների հաղթահարման գործընթացի համակարգումը և չսպասի այս կամ այն երկրի առաջնորդի հայտարարություններին: Այս մասին «Արմենպրես»-ի մամուլի սրահում հրավիրված ասուլիսում նշեց ՀՀ ԳԱԱ պատմության ինստիտուտի Հայկական հարցի և Հայոց ցեղասպանության պատմության բաժնի վարիչ Արմեն Մարուքյանը` խոսելով ԱՄՆ-ի վարչակազմից Հայոց ցեղասպանության հարցի հետ կապված ակնկալիքներից:

«Մենք տեսել ենք, որ ԱՄՆ շատ նախագահներ Հայոց ցեղասպանությունը ճանաչելու նախընտրական խոստում են տվել, սակայն այդ պարագայում էլ նման քայլ չի արվել, ցեղասպանություն բառը չի արտաբերվել: Հիմա, եթե նախագահ Թրամփը որևէ խոստում չի տվել, հետևաբար նա ավելի ազատ է իր քայլերի, իր գործունեության մեջ: Ես կոչ կանեի այդքան չսևեռվել այն հանգամանքի վրա, թե ԱՄՆ-ի նախագահը ապրիլի 24-ի նախօրեին կարտասանի այդ բառը, թե ոչ, դա այլևս մեզ պետք է չհետաքրքրի»,-ասաց Արմեն Մարուքյանը:

Նրա խոսքով՝ Հայոց ցեղասպանության ճանաչումը, ըստ էության, արդեն իրենց խղճի գործն է: Հայոց ցեղասպանությունը ճանաչված իրողություն է, և եթե հայերը կատարում են ռազմավարական վերաշեշտադրում, որ արդեն պայքարում են հետևանքերի հաղթահարման համար, ապա դա նշանակում է, որ ցեղասպանության ճանաչման հարցը քննարկելի չէ, այն աքսիոմատիկ ճշմարտություն է:

«Կարծում եմ, որ այս նոր շեշտադրումը կարող է ազդել որոշ երկրների վրա: Եթե մենք չենք սպասում դրան, կախված չենք բառի արտասանումից կամ չարտասանումից, ապա սա կարող է իրենց մոտ հանգեցնել մտայնության փոփոխության: Իմ գլխավոր մտահոգությունն այն է, որ սկսենք մտածել ոչ թե նրա մասին, թե որ երկիրը կճանաչի, ի վերջո մենք արդեն այդ փորձն ունեցել ենք և տեսել ենք, որ շատ երկրներ իրենց նպատակահարմարությամբ են դա անում, այլ մենք պետք է Հայոց ցեղասպանության հետևանքների հաղթահարման գործընթացի մեր սեփական օրակարգը մշակենք: Այսինքն` որոշումներ կայացնող ը, գործընթացին խթան տվողը պետք է լինի ոչ թե Թրամփը, Պուտինը կամ այլ երկրի նախագահը, այլ այդ գործընթացն ուղղորդվի Երևանից: Հայաստանի Հանրապետությունը պետք է ստանձնի այդ գործընթացի համակարգումը, ինչպես դա եղավ 100-րդ տարելիցի միջոցառումների համակարգման պարագայում»,-ասաց Մարուքյանը:
