ԱՄՆ Վայոմինգ նահանգը ճանաչել է Հայոց ցեղասպանությունը

ԱՄՆ Վայոմինգ նահանգի նահանգապետ Մեթյու Միդն ԱՄՆ Հայ դատի հանձնախմբի արևմտյան թևին ուղղված նամակում ճանաչել է Հայոց ցեղասպանությունը:
«Թե՛ հայերի, թե՛ հրեաների հոլոքոստի դաժանության աստիճանն ուղղակի հնարավոր չէ պատկերացնել: Բայց բոլորիս համար կարևոր է հիշել մի բան՝ պատմությունը չպետք է կրկնվի»,-մեջբերում է Asbarez-ը պաշտոնյայի նամակից մի հատված:
Իր նամակում նահանգապետն անդրադարձել է Հայոց ցեղասպանության ճանաչման ու դատապարտման հարցերում ԱՄՆ Հայ դատի հանձնախմբի կատարած ահռելի աշխատանքին՝ այն որակելով ոգևորիչ:
Վայոմինգի կողմից Ցեղասպանությունը որպես պատմական փաստ ճանաչելուն ի պատասխան՝ ԱՄՆ Հայ դատի հանձնախմբի արևմտյան թևի տնօրեն Նորա Հովսեփյանը շնորհակալություն է հայտնել նահանգապետին պատմությունն արդարացիորեն գնահատելու համար:
«Այս ճանաչումը հարգանքի տուրք է մատուցում մեր նախնիների ու Ցեղասպանությունից մազապուրծ եղած հայ մանուկներին ապաստանած մանկատներին աջակցած խիզախ վայոմինգցիների հիշատակին»,-նշել է Հովսեփյանը:
Աղբյուրը նկատում է, որ Վայոմինգը Միացյալ Նահանգների՝ Հայոց ցեղասպանությունը պաշտոնապես ճանաչած 45-րդ նահանգն է:
Նշվում է, որ Ցեղասպանության ճանաչման լուրը ողջունել են նահանգային իշխանությունների ներկայացուցիչներն ու ակտիվիստները:
«Ողջունում եմ նահանգապետին Վայոմինգում ընթացող ակտիվ հակահայկական լոբբինգի ֆոնին նման բարոյական հարցում ցուցաբերած քաջության համար: Հայոց ցեղասպանությունն անպատիժ հանցագործություն է, որը պետք է ճանաչվի և որի համար պետք է պատասխան տրվի: Այս սարսափելի ոճրագործության հարցում Թուրքիայի վարած ժխտողական քաղաքականությանը, Հայաստանի ապօրինի շրջափակմանը, Ադրբեջանի՝ Հայաստանի ու Արցախի դեմ ուղղված ցեղասպան քաղաքականության աջակցմանը պետք է վերջ դրվի»,-հայտարարել է Վայոմինգի նահանգային սենատի անդամ Էնթոնի Բուշարդը:
Աղբյուրը հավելում է, որ այս հաղթանակն ԱՄՆ Հայ դատի հանձնախմբի արևմտյան թևի ներկայացուցիչների՝ Վայոմինգի սենատորների հետ տարած աշխատանքի, Հայոց ցեղասպանության թեմայով ուսուցողական բնույթի հանդիպումների արդյունքն է:
