Հայաստանը շարունակելու է աշխատել Հավաքական անվտանգության պայմանագրի կազմակերպության ամրապնդման ուղղությամբ: Ապրիլի 21-ին լրագրողների հետ հանդիպմանն այս մասին ասաց ՀՀ պաշտպանության նախարար Վիգեն Սարգսյանը: «ՀԱՊԿ-ն իրականում շատ մեծ խնդիրներ լուծող կառույց է, այդ թվում՝ ռազմական կրթության, ձեռքբերումների համակարգի ներ դրման, օպերատիվ արձագանքման ուժերի ձևավորման, նաև խաղաղապահ ուժերի կարողությունների զարգացման ուղղությամբ: Մենք տեսնում ենք այդ ներուժն ու շարունակելու ենք ամեն ինչ անել, որ ՀԱՊԿ-ում մեր անդամակցությունը լինի առավելագույնս արդյունավետ և օգտակար»,- «Արմենպրես»-ի հաղորդմամբ` նշեց պաշտպանության նախարարը:

Նա ընդգծեց, որ ՀԱՊԿ-ն Հայաստանի անվտանգության համար կարևոր բաղադրիչ է, բայց ունի մի շարք խնդիրներ, որոնց մասին ինքն արդեն խոսել է: «Այդ խնդիրներից ես մատնանշել եմ երկուսը` մեկը փափուկ ուժի մեխանիզմների բացակայությունն է, երկրորդը` արտաքին քաղաքական հարցերով անդամ երկրների փոխադարձ շահերի հաշվի առնելու խնդիրը», - ասաց Վիգեն Սարգսյանը:

Նա, միևնույն ժամանակ, հավելեց, որ  դա միայն ՀԱՊԿ-ի խնդիրը չէ, և շատ ավելի երկար պատմություն ունեցող կառույցներում, օրինակ` ՆԱՏՕ-ում, անդամ երկրները կարող են ունենալ ոչ միայն իրար հաշվի չառնող, այլև իրար հակադիր կարծիքներ: «Մենք, այնուամենայնիվ, շատ բարձր ենք գնահատել մինչև այսօր ՀԱՊԿ-ի՝ որպես կառույցի, հայտարարություններն ու դիրքորոշումները, այդ թվում` Արցախյան խնդրի հետ կապված և գլխավոր քարտուղար Նիկոլայ Բորդյուժայի արած հայտարարությունները, երբ լարման պահին ՀԱՊԿ գլխավոր քարտուղարը շատ ադեկվատ՝ մեր անդամակցած կառույցի գլխավոր ք արտուղարին համաչափ դրսևորում է ունեցել», - եզրափակեց Վիգեն Սարգսյանը:
