 Նախագահ Սերժ Սարգսյանը հոկտեմբերի 5-ին ընդունել է Հայաստանում Իրանի Իսլամական Հանրապետության արտակարգ և լիազոր դեսպան Մոհամմադ Ռեիսին՝ դիվանագիտական առաքելության ավարտի կապակցությամբ: Ինչպես տեղեկացրին ՀՀ նախագահի աշխատակազմի հասարակայնության եւ տեղեկատվության միջոցների հետ կապերի վարչությունից, Նախագահը շնորհակալություն է հայտնել դեսպանին պաշտոնավարման անցած երեք տարիներին հայ-իրանական հարաբերությունների զարգացման ու ամրապնդման գործում ներդրած ջանքերի համար և մաղթել հաջողություններ հետագա գործունեության մեջ:

Սերժ Սարգսյանն ընդգծել է, որ Իրանի հետ հարաբերությունները Հայաստանի համար կենսական նշանակություն ունեն և պայմանավորված են ինչպես պատմամշակութային ընդհանրություններով, այնպես էլ փոխադարձ տնտեսական շահերով, աշխարհաքաղաքական դիրքի առանձնահատկություններով, տարածաշրջանային մի շարք խնդիրների նկատմամբ ընդհանուր մոտեցումներով:

ՀՀ Նախագահը և ԻԻՀ դեսպանը երկուստեք կարևորել ու արժևորել են Հայաստանի և Իրանի միջև ձևավորված հարուստ օրակարգի շրջանակներում շարունակաբար խորացող և ամենատարբեր ոլորտներ ներառող համագործակցությունը՝ միաժամանակ ընդգծելով բարձր մակարդակի հաճախակի փոխայցելությունների և պարբերական խորհրդակցությունների անցկացման անհրաժեշտությունը:

Դեսպան Մոհամմադ Ռեիսին շնորհակալություն է հայտնել դիվանագիտական առաքելության իրականացման ամբողջ ընթացքում Հայաստանում իրեն ցուցաբերած աջակցության և համագործակցության պատրաստակամության համար՝ ընդգծելով, որ որտեղ էլ հետագայում շարունակի դիվանագիտական աշխատանքը, որքան հնարավոր է օգտակար կլինի բարեկամ Հայաստանին և հայ ժողովրդին, որի նկատմամբ հատուկ ջերմ վերաբերմունք ունի:
