Ֆրանսիայի նախագահի թեկնածու Ֆրանսուա Ֆիյոնը Ֆրանսիայի հայկական համայնքը համարում է ինտեգրման, հաջողության և հայրենասիրության օրինակ:
«Նրանք բոլորը սիրում են Ֆրանսիան, բայց և բոլորի սրտի մի մասը Հայաստանում է: Փարիզի արվեստի թանգարանը պետք է լինի մտորումների և մշակութային գաղափարների փոխանակման վայր: Կարևոր է հայկական մշակույթի և հիշողության կենտրոնի գոյությունը, Ֆրանսիայի հայկական թանգարանի նմուշները կարող են ներկայացվել Գիմեում, որտեղ վերջին շրջանում սկսվել են վերանորոգման աշխատանքներ: Սակայն այս հարցում Ֆրանսիայի կառավարության որոշումը շարունակում է մնալ անորոշ»,-այս մասին Ֆիյոնը նշել է Nouvelles d’Armenie-ն տված հարցազրույցում` հավելելով, որ Ֆրանսիայի հայկական թանգարանը Եվրոպայում ունի ամենամեծ հավաքածուն` 3000 տարվա պատմության շուրջ 1200 աշխատանք:
«Իսկ ինչո՞ւ չպահպանել Ֆրանսիայի հայկական թանգարանը: Ես մեծ կարևորություն եմ տալիս մեր ազգային ժառանգության պահպանմանը և հայկական թանգարանի հավաքածուն դրա մի մասն է: Ես ցանկանում եմ, որ Ֆրանսիայի հայերի հիշողությունը և քաջությունը հայտնի դառնա և չլինի անանուն: Նրանք պայքարել են ճշմարտության, արժանապատվության և սոցիալական հաջողության համար: Նրանք մասնակցել են մեր ազգային պատմության շինարարությանը, ինչպես շեշտել է Շառլ Ազնավուրը, նրանց հաջողվել է մնալ «100 տոկոս ֆրանսիացի և 100 տոկոս հայ»: Ես ցանկանում եմ հարգանքի տուրք մատուցել նրանց»,- ասել է Ֆրանսիայի նախագահի թեկնածուն:
Ֆրանսիայի նախագահի ընտրություններն անցկացվելու են 2017 թվականի ապրիլի 23-ին: Եթե թեկնածուներից որևէ մեկը չստանա ձայների կեսից ավելին, ապա երկրորդ փուլը կանցկացվի մայիսի 7-ին: Ներկայումս ընտրարշավի առաջատար թեկնածուներն են Հանրապետականների կողմից առաջադրված Ֆրանսուա Ֆիյոնը, «Ազգային ճակատի» առաջնորդ Մարին Լը Պենը, Ֆրանսիայի էկոնոմիկայի նախկին նախարար Էմանուել Մակրոնը, Սոցիալիստական կուսակցության թեկնածու Բենուա Ամոնը և Կոմունիստական կուսակցության ու մի շարք այլ ձախ ուժերի աջակցությունը վայելող Ժան-Լյուկ Մելանշոնը:
