Վերջերս Առողջության Համաշխարհային Կազմակերպությունը հայտարարել է, որ սուրճը չափավոր օգտագործումը կանխում է քաղցկեղի մի քանի տեսակների առաջացման վտանգը: Այս տեսությունից հետո գիտնակնները պարզեցին, սակայն, որ այս օգտակարությունը գործում է միայն այն դեպքում, եթե սուրճն այրող տաք չէ: Հակառակ դեպքում քաղցկեղով հիվանդանալու հավանականությունը ոչ թե կնվազի, այլ հակառակ ազդեցություն կունենա՝ կաճի: Փաստ այն է, որ այրող տաք և՛ սուրճը, և՛ թեյը կարող են վնասել կոկորդի և կերակրափողի էպիտելիալ հյուսվածքները և այդ օրգանների քաղցկեղի առաջացման ռիսկը մեծացնել:
Մեզնից շատերի համար սա անընդունելի է, քանի որ սուրճը սիրում են ըմպել հենց շատ տաք վիճակում, սակայն եղեք հավատացած, որ ըմպելիքի համային հատկանիշները ընդհանրապես չեն փոխվի, եթե թողնեք այն փոքր-ինչ սառչի: Փոխարենը՝ օգտակար հատկությունները կգործեն և կպաշտպանեն Ձեր օրգանիզմը: Գիտնականները վստահեցնում են, որ, եթե նույնիսկ օրական 4-5 բաժակ սուրճ եք խմում, եթե խմեք համաձայն այս նշված կանոնի՝ այն ոչնչով չի վնասի Ձեր օրգանիզմը:
