Կաթ օգտագործելիս պետք է չափազանց գգուշ լինել, և հետևել նրա պահպանման ժամկետին: Եթե կաթի պահպանման ժամկետը հասել է երկու շաբաթ, ապա վստահ եղեք, որ այն հակաբիոտիկներ է պարունակում:

Կարմիր խավիար - Խարհուրդ է տրվում հնարավորինս քիչ օգտագործել կարմիր խավիար, քանի որ դրա պահպանման ժամկետը շատ ավելի քիչ է, քան դրա փոխադրման ժամկետները: Այդ պատճառով արտադրելիս կամ մեծ քանակությամբ աղ են ավելացնում խավիարի մեջ, կամ ուժեղ կերպով սառեցնում են այն:
