ԱՄՆ հինգ նահանգներ փնտրում են «Facebook-յան մարդասպանին»։ BBC-ի փոխանցմամբ Սթիվ Սթեֆենսը սպանել է 74-ամյա Ռոբերտ Գոդվինին ու տեսագրությունը հրապարակել Facebook-ում։ Տեսագրությունում Սթիվը նաեւ խոստովանել է եւս 13 մարդու սպանություն ու հայտնել, որ մտադիր չէ այդքանով սահմանափակվել։
Ոստիկանությունը հակված է համարել, որ Սթեֆենսը պատահականության սկզբունքով է ընտրել իր զոհին։ 74-ամյա Ռոբերտ Գոդվինը Զատկի օրը որդու տնից էր վերադառնում։ Սթիվը մոտեցել է նրան ու խնդրել, որ նա տեսախցիկին նայելով ասի Ջոյ Լեյնի՝ Սթիվի նախկին ընկերուհու անունը։ Որից հետո նա հայտնել է, որ հենց Ջոյն է մեղավոր նրանում, ինչը տեղի կունենա Ռոբերտի հետ ու կրակել է տղամարդու գլխին։ Տեսնելով ատրճանակը՝ զոհը փորձել է դրանից պաշտպանվել պլաստիկ փաթեթով։
Ջոյ Լեյնը հաստատել է, որ մի քանի տարի հարաբերություններ է ունեցել Սթեֆենսի հետ, սակայն նրա խոսքով նա բարի ու առատաձեռն մարդ է եղել, որը շատ լավ էր վերաբերվում Ջոյի երեխաներին։ Սթիվի մայրն էլ հայտնել է, որ նա «պարզապես խելագարվում էր իր ընկերուհու համար» ։ «Դրա համար էլ նա սպանում է մարդկանց ու կանգ չի առնի, քանի դեռ նրա մայրն ու ընկերուհին չխնդրեն նրան»,- համարում է նա։
Ոստիկանությունը կարծում է, որ Սթիվը զինված է ու վտանգավոր։ Նրա նկատմամբ հետախուզություն է հայտարարված հինգ նահանգներում՝ Օհայոյում, Միչիգանում, ՆՅու Յորքում, Փենսիլվանիայում ու Ինդիանայում։
