Ամերիկացի գիտնականները միավորվել են սոցիալական ցանցերի դեմ: Նրանց կարծիքով, նման ինտերնետ-ռեսուրսները ոչ միայն աղավաղում են օգտատերերի մտածողությունը, այլեւ անմիջական վնաս են հասցնում մարդկային հարաբերություններին: Ընդ որում, ուշադրությունը, հիշողությունը եւ մտածողությունը տուժում են առաջին հերթին: Սոցցանցերը մեծ վնաս են հասցնում աճող սերնդին՝ բացասաբար ազդելով նրանց մտավոր կարողությունների վրա:
Անցյալ տարի Իտալիայում անցկացված վիճակագրական հետազոտության համաձայն, WhatsApp մեսենջերը ամուսնական զույգերին հնարավորություն է տվել անխոչընդոտ սիրաբանել այլ մարդկանց հետ, ինչը 40%-ով մեծացրել է ամուսնալուծությունների քանակը, փոխանցում է Svopi-ն:
Գիտնականները նշում են, որ սոցիալական փոխհարաբերությունների վատացման համար մեղավոր են ոչ թե ինտերնետ-ռեսուրսները, այլ իրենք՝ մարդիկ, որոնք երեւակայական ազատություն եւ անհայտ մնալու հնարավորություն ստանալով, հուզական մակարդակում դեգրադացիա են ապրում: Բայց դա դեռ ամբողջը չէ. հետազոտողներն ապացուցել են, որ այնպիսի սոցցանցեր, ինչպիսին Facebook-ն է, բացասաբար են ազդում վերհիշելու եւ երեւակայելու կարողության վրա, հաղորդում է Independence պորտալը: Ինդիանայի համալսարանի գիտնականները ենթադրում են, որ հանուն համացանցի պատանի օգտատերերի անհրաժեշտ է սահմանափակել մուտքը ամեն տեսակի մեսենջերներին:
