Եվրախորհրդարանի` Թուրքիայի հարցով զեկուցող Քեթի Փիրին ապրիլի 16-ի սահմանադրական հանրաքվեի արդյունքները տխրեցնող է համարել երկրի ժողովրդավարների համար: Ինչպես հաղորդում է «Արմենպրես»-ը, այս մասին հայտնում է թուրքական «Ջումհուրիեթ» պարբերականը:
«Անարդար ընտրական մթնոլորտում Թուրքիայի բնակչությունը փոքր տարբերությամբ աջակցություն ցուցաբերեց Էրդողանին անվերահսկելի լիազորություններ տվող, ավտորիտար համակարգին հարիր սահմանադրական փաթեթին: Սա Թուրքիայի բոլոր ժողովրդավարների համար ցավալի օր է: Ակնհայտ է, որ երկրի ուժերի տարանջատումը չհարգող, վերահսկման որևէ մեխանիզմ չունեցող սահմանադրությամբ երկիրը չի կարողանա միանալ Եվրամիությանը: Եթե փաթեթն առանց փոփոխության կիրառվի, ապա դա Եվրամիության հետ բանակցություններն առկախելու պատճառ կդառնա»,-հայտարարել է Փիրին:
Նա ընդգծել է, որ սահմանադրական հանրաքվեի արդյունքները ենթադրում են հեռացում եվրոպական արժեքներից: «Ես շարունակելու եմ լինել Թուրքիայում հանուն ժողովրդավարության և հիմնարար իրավունքների պայքարող ցանկացած անձի կողքին»,- նշել է նա:
