Девочка родилась путем кесарева сечения. Она стала настоящим чудом для британки из Нортгемптона, которой говорили, что она не может иметь детей.
Ребенок был капризным и практически не слазил с рук и груди матери. Девочка спала в люльке рядом с кроватью родителей, когда ее мать проснулась уже в третий раз за ночь — на часах было 3:30 утра.
«Я взяла ее с собой в постель. Я села и держала ее на руках, пока кормила грудью. Я не собиралась засыпать… А когда очнулась, она лежала на матрасе у моих ног и не дышала. Я разбудила мужа и позвонила в скорую. Потом я мало что помню».
Женщина «очнулась» уже в 7:15 утра и увидела, что дочь лежит лицом вниз рядом с ней. Приехавшие на место врачи уже ничего не могли сделать.
«Вскрытие показало, что девочка задохнулась. Это был несчастный случай, ведь мать не хотела засыпать. Очень часто родители берут новорожденных детей с собой в постель, не думая о последствиях, но это очень опасно».
