ՀՀ արտակարգ իրավիճակների նախարարության փրկարարական ծառայության Գեղարքունիքի մարզային փրկարարական վարչության ջրափրկարարներն ապրիլի 14-ի առավոտյան՝ ժամը 9.30-ի սահմաններում, Արծվանիստ գյուղի վարչական տարածքում Սեւանա լճից դուրս են բերել նույն գյուղի բնակիչ, 1971 թվականին ծնված Հովիկ Եփրեմյանի անշնչացած մարմինը: Ինչպես «Արմենպրես»-ին տեղեկացրեց Արծվանիստի գյուղապետ Սամվել Օհանյանը, Հովիկ Եփրեմյանը ափին մոտիկ գտնվող նավակով լիճ է մտել երեկ երեկոյան եւ ջրահեղձ եղել: Փրկարար ները գիշերվա մթության պատճառով դադարեցրել են որոնողական աշխատանքները, իսկ այսօր առավոտյան արդեն որոնումները եղել են արդյունավետ:
 
«Ափին շատ մոտիկ էր նա ջրահեղձվել, այդ պատճառով էլ շուտ հայտնաբերվեց մարմինը: Հովիկն ամուսնացած էր, երկու երեխայի հայր: Որդիներից մեկը ծառայում է Հայոց բանակում, մյուսը օրեր առաջ մեկնել է արտագնա աշխատանքի»,-ներկայացրեց համայնքի ղեկավարը:
 
ՀՀ արտակարգ իրավիճակների նախարարությունը տեղեկացնում է, որ ապրիլի 13-ին, ժամը 22:05-ին ահազանգ է ստացվել, որ անհրաժեշտ է փրկարարների օգնությունը։ Դեպքի վայր է մեկնել մարզային փրկարարական վարչության և հրշեջ փրկարարական վարչության օպերատիվ խմբերը և հատուկ ջրափրկարարական ջոկատը: Պարզվել է, որ Արծվանիստ գյուղի բնակիչ՝ 1971 թվականի ծնված Հ. Ե.-ը նավակով մտել է Սևանա լիճ և չի վերադարձել: Սևանա լճում հայտնաբերվել է դատարկ նավակ։ Ջրափրկարարները նույն օրը Սևանա լճում իրականացրել են Հ. Ե.-ի որոնողական աշխատանքները. մթության, եղանակային անբարենպաստ պայմանների և ալեկոծության պատճառով որոնողական աշխատանքները դադարեցվել են: Ապրիլի 14-ին, ժամը 07:53-ին որոնողական աշխատանքները վերսկսվել են:
