 Սիրիայի ուղղությամբ հրթիռային հարվածն ապացույցն է այն բանի, որ ԱՄՆ-ում նախագահ Թրամփը չէ կայացնում որոշումներ: AFP-ին տված հարցազրույցում նման կարծիք է հայտնել Սիրիայի նախագահ Բաշար ալ Ասադը:

«Փաստացի, դա առաջին ապացույցն է այն բանի, որ գործը նախագահի մեջ չէ, այլ ԱՄՆ ռեժիմում, «խորքային պետությունում» կամ «խորքային ռեժիմում», որը մնացել է նույնը, այն չի փոխվում: Նախագահը նրանց թատրոնում միայն դերասաններից մեկն է. անգամ եթե նա ցանկանում է լինել առաջնորդ, նա չի կարող դառնալ այդպիսին»,- նկատել է Սիրիայի նախագահը: Սիրիայի առաջնորդը պարզաբանել է, որ նկատի ունի ռազմարդյունաբերական համալիրը, ֆինանսական ընկերությունները, բանկերն ու տարբեր քաղաքական ուժերը, որոնց շահերից ելնելով էլ, նրա կարծիքով, ստիպված է լինում գոր ծել երկրի նախագահը:

«Ոմանք ասում են, որ Թրամփը ցանկանում է լինել առաջնորդ: Բայց նրանց (ԱՄՆ) յուրաքանչյուր նախագահ, ով ցանկանում է լինել առաջնորդ, ավելի ուշ ստիպված է եղել հրաժարվել իր խոսքերից, կուլ տալ իր հպարտությունը, եթե այն եղել է, և 180 աստիճան շրջվել: Հակառակ դեպքում ստիպված է եղել վճարել քաղաքական գինը»,- ասել է Ասադը:

Ավելի վաղ ԶԼՄ-ները հրապարակել էին Թրամփի թվիթերյան գրառումները, որոնցում նա 2013 թվականին հետևողականորեն դատապարտել է ԱՄՆ վարչակազմի` Սիրիայի ուղղությամբ հարված հասցնելու ծրագրերը և այդ ժամանակ նախագահի պաշտոնը զբաղեցրած Բարաք Օբամային նախազգուշացրել չգնալ նման քայլի:
