Բեքչյանը պատմել է Աթեշյանի հետ ունեցած հանդիպման մանրամասները

Պոլսո Հայոց պատրիարքական փոխանորդ Արամ արքեպիսկոպոս Աթեշյանը ապրիլի 6-ին պատրիարքարանում տեղապահ ընտրված Գարեգին արքեպիսկոպոս Բեքչյանի հետ հանդիպումից հետո նրան է ներկայացրել պատրիարքի ընտրության գործընթացի առնչությամբ իր առաջարկները ներառող փաստաթուղթը: Ինչպես հաղորդում է «Արմենպրես»-ը, այս մասին Ստամբուլի հայկական Ակոս պարբերականի հետ զրույցում հայտնել է Բեքչյանը:
«Արամ սրբազանի հետ երկկողմ հանդիպում ունեցանք: Ասաց նույնը, ինչ նախկինում. «Ես մնամ փոխանորդ, դու էլ սահմանադրական հանրաքվեից հետո, երբ կսկսվի պատրիարքի ընտրության գործընթացը, անցիր քո պարտականություններին: Ես էլ որպես «լուսարարապետ» հետ կքաշվեմ, և նման կերպ գործընթացը կշարունակվի»: Նրա ներկայացրած գրությունն ընթերցելուց հետո կկիսվեմ մամուլի հետ»,- հայտնել է Բեքչյանը:
Նա ընդգծել է, որ ապրիլի 8-ին կարճ ծրագրով գնալու է Մարսել: «Հայտնեցի, որ այնտեղից վերադառնալուց հետո կրկին կհանդիպեմ նրա հետ և իմ որոշումը կհայտնեմ: Ապրիլի 12-ին հետ կվերադառնամ»,- ասել է Բեքչյանը:
Տեղապահը հայտնել է, որ հանդիպումն անց է կացել հանգիստ մթնոլորտում: Նա փորձել է Աթեշյանից տեղեկանալ, թե ինչու են եկեղեցու դռները փակել, երբ ինքն ու Սահակ եպիսկոպոս Մաշալյանը ցանկանում էին պատարագ մատուցել: Ի պատասխան այս հարցի` պատրիարքական փոխանորդը պատասխանել է, թե իրենք վախեցել են միջադեպ ծագելու հավանականությունից, քանի որ եկեղեցու մոտ շատ մարդիկ էին գալու: «Ինչ էլ որ լինի` նման բան չպետք է լինի: Եկեղեցու դուռը չպետք է կողպվի որևէ մեկի առաջ: Այն էլ այն դեպքում, երբ այդտեղ երկու եպիսկոպոս կա»,- ընդգծել է Բեքչյանը` նշելով, որ նման քա յլերով նա կարող է վատ հեղինակություն վաստակել ժողովրդի շրջանում: «Պետք է խուսափել նման բաներից»,- հայտարարել է տեղապահը:
Անդրադառնալով տարածված այն տեղեկություններին, թե ապրիլի 5-ին Սուրբ Փրկիչ հիվանդանոցում պետք է ստորագրվեր արձանագրություն Աթեշյանի և Բեքչյանի միջև, տեղապահը հայտարարել է, որ դրա մասին ինքը որևէ տեղեկություն չի ունեցել:
