Բրիտանական հեղինակավոր BBC-ն նոր հոդված է հրապարակել աշխարհում առաջին քրիստոնյա երկրի` Հայաստանի մասին: Ինչպես հաղորդում է «Արմենպրես»-ը, լրատվամիջոցը գրում է, որ «այս եվրոպական երկիրը քրիստոնեությունը պաշտոնական կրոն է դարձրել 301 թվականին, և այդ պատմությունը դեռ կարելի է տեսնել այսօր»:
«3 միլիոն բնակչությամբ Հայաստանը Եվրոպայի ամենափոքր երկրներից է, սակայն այն նշանակալի տեղ ունի հոգևոր պատմության մեջ. շատ պատմաբաններ հավատում են, որ 301 թվականին այն առաջին երկիրն էր, որ ընդունեց քրիստոնեությունը: Այսօր հայերի 95 տոկոսը քրիստոնյա է, և երկրի բարեպաշտ պատմությանը կարելի է հետևել դրա հնագույն վայրերում ու կոթողներով»,- գրում է լրատվամիջոցը` պատմելով, թե ինչպես Գրիգոր Լուսավորիչը քարոզեց քրիստոնեությունը, որը երկար տարիներ անց` 301 թվականին Տրդատ Երրորդ թագավորը հռչակեց որպես պետական կրոն:
Պատմելով Գառնու հեթանոսական տաճարի մասին` BBC-ն նշում է, որ այն եզակի կոթողներից էր, որ քրիստոնեության տարածման շրջանում չոչնչացվեց: «Այսօր այն կանգնած է որպես հայկական նեոհեթանոսության խորհրդանիշ և ամեն տարի ունենում է ավելի քան 136 հազար այցելու` դարձնելով այն Հայաստանի ամենահանրաճանաչ զբոսաշրջային վայրերից մեկը»,- հայտնում է BBC-ն:
Լրատվամիջոցը պատմում է Հայաստանի «հոգևոր մայրաքաղաքի»` Վաղարշապատի մասին` ներկայացնելով այստեղ գտնվող Գայանե եկեղեցին, այնուհետև Խոր Վիրապի վանքի մասին, որտեղ երկար տարիներ բանտարկված է մնացել Գրիգոր Լուսավորիչը, Զորաց եկեղեցու, խաչքարերի, Քարահունջի մասին: Խոսելով Գեղարդի վանական համալիրի մասին` BBC-ն ընդգծում է, որ այն այսօր ՅՈՒՆԵՍԿՕ-ի համաշխարհային ժառանգության վայրերից է:
