Թուրքիայի նախագահ Ռեջեփ Թայիփ Էրդողանը նախանշել է  Սիրիայի տարածքում «Եփրատի վահան» ռազմական գործողության ավարտից հետո թուրքական ԶՈՒ հաջորդ գործողության թիրախները:

Այս մասին հայտնում է թուրքական «Հաբերլեր»-ը:

Էրդողանը Սիրիայի տարածքում, որպես թուրքական զինված ուժերի գործողությունների հաջորդ թիրախներ նախանշել է Մանբիջ և Ռաքքա քաղաքները:

«էլ-Բաբ-ը վերջին օրինակն է, թե ինչ արդյունք կարողացանք ստանալ: Ջերաբլուսը, Դաբիկը, Էր-Ռաին ավելի վաղ են ազատագրվել: Հիմա մենք շարունակում ենք մեր առաջընթացը Մանբիջ, և եթե միջազգային կոալիցիան պահի իր խոստումը, կուղղվենք նաև դեպի Ռաքքա»,- Բուրսայում ելույթի ժամանակ նշել է Էրդողանը: 

Թուրքիայի վարչապետ Բինալի Յըլդըրըմն մարտի 29-ին տեղի ունեցած Ազգային անվտանգության խորհրդի նիստից հետո հայտարարել էր Սիրիայի հյուսիսում «Եփրատի վահան» գործողությունն ավարտելու մասին: 

Թուրքիայի վարչապետը հայտնել էր, որ եթե «Իսլամական պետություն» ահաբեկչական խմբավորումն այսուհետև կրկին վտանգ առաջացնի Թուրքիայի համար, իրենք նոր գործողություն կսկսեն, որն այլ անվանում կունենա:

Թուրքիան Սիրիայի տարածքում 2016 թվականի օգոստոսի 24-ից իրականացնում էր «Եփրատի վահան» անունը կրող գործողություն: «Իսլամական պետություն» խմբավորման դեմ պայքարելու պատրվակով թուրքական ուժերը հիմնական հարվածը հասցնում էին Սիրիայի քրդերին: «Եփրատի վահան» գործողության ընթացքում սպանված թուրք զինվորների թիվը գերազանցել է 70-ը:
