 Միջազգային հանրապետական ինստիտուտի  (IRI) կողմից հրապարակված հարցման տվյալների համաձայն, դրա մասնակիցների 73 տոկոսը Վրաստանի գլխավոր քաղաքական սպառնալիքը համարում Է Ռուսաստանը: Նույն այս երկրին գլխավոր տնտեսական սպառնալիք Է համարում հարցվածների 57 տոկոսը: Տնտեսական սպառնալիքների կապակցությամբ պատասխան չի տվել կամ «չգիտեմ» Է պատասխանել 27 տոկոսը, իսկ քաղաքական սպառնալիքների մասին նույն պատասխանն Է տվել 17 տոկոսը, տեղեկացնում Է «Արմենպրես»-ը՝ հղում անելով «Գրուզ իա Online»-ին: 
 
Բնակչության միայն 16 տոկոսն Է Ռուսաստանը համարում կարեւոր քաղաքական գործընկեր: Ինչ վերաբերում Է հարցվածների ամենամեծ բաժնին, ապա 42 տոկոսն այն համոզմունքն ունի, որ Վրաստանի ամենակարեւոր գործընկերը Եվրամիությունն Է, 33 տոկոսը՝ ԱՄՆ-ը, 20 տոկոսը՝ Ադրբեջանը, 28 տոկոսը՝ Ուկրաինան, իսկ 14 տոկոսը՝ Թուրքիան, 12 տոկոսը՝ Հայաստանը, իսկ 2 տոկոսը՝ Իրանը:
 
Մասնակիցների 7 տոկոսը Վրաստանի գլխավոր քաղաքական սպառնալիքն համարում ԱՄՆ-ն, իսկ Եվրամիությունը՝ միայն 2 տոկոսը:
 
Միջազգային հանրապետական ինստիտուտն ապրիլի 4-ին հրապարակել Է սոցիալական հարցման արդյունքները, որն անցկացվել Է ամբողջ երկրում (բացառությամբ Աբխազիայի եւ Հարավային Օսիայի): Հարցերը, մասնավորապես, վերաբերել են Եվրամիությանը երկրի անդամակցությանը, Ռուսաստանի հետ հարաբերություններին, ինչպես նաեւ բնակչության քաղաքական նախապատվություններին:  
 
IRI-ն հարցումն անցկացրել Է 2017 թվականի փետրվարի 22-ից մինչեւ մարտի 8-ը: Դրան մասնակցել են Վրաստանի ընտրական իրավունք ունեցող 1501 մշտական բնակիչներ: Հարցման անճշտությունը կազմել Է 2,5 տոկոս:
