Հայոց ցեղասպանության մասին պատմող «Խոստում» ֆիլմը ցուցադրվել է Վատիկանում։ Պրեմիերային ներկա են եղել ֆիլմի ռեժիսոր Թերի Ջորջը, պրոդյուսեր Էրիկ Էսրաիլյանը և այլք։

 Variety-ն գրում է, որ ֆիլմը ցուցադրվել է Վատիկանի առաջարկով։

 «Երբ Հռոմի Ֆրանցիսկոս Պապն այցելեց Հայաստան՝ իր խոսքում օգտագործեց «ցեղասպանություն» բառը։ Դա մեծ հիացմունք առաջացրեց մարդկանց մեջ։ Երբ Վատիկանում իմացան ֆիլմի մասին, առաջարկեցին այնտեղ ցուցադրել «Խոստումը»»,- ասել է Էրիկ Էսրաիլյանը։

 Նշենք, որ ֆիլմը բավականին մեծ բյուջե է ունեցել։  Նկարահանման ծախսերը հոգացել է ամերիկահայ բարերար Քըրք Քրքորյանը։

 Վերջերս բազմաթիվ աստղեր համացանցում իրենց աջակցությունն են հայտնում «Խոստում» ֆիլմին։ Նրանք գրառումներ են անում՝ օգտագործելով  #KeepThePromise հեշթեգը։ Այս շարժմանն են միացել Էլթոն Ջոնը, Ջորջ Քլունին, Շերը, Դեն Քեյնը, Անդրե Աղասին, Օուեն Ուիլսոնը, Բարբարա Սթրեյզանդը և ուրիշներ։

 Ֆիլմում խաղում են բազմաթիվ հայտնի դերասաններ, ինչպիսիք են՝ Քրիստիան Բոյլը,  Օսկար Այզեկը, Ժան Ռենոն և Անժելա Սարաֆյանը։ Ֆիլմի պրեմիերան կայացել է 2016 թվականի սեպտեմբերի 11-ին՝ Տորոնտոյի Միջազգային կինո-փառատոնում։

 Ֆիլմի սյուժեն սիրային եռանկյունու մասին է։ Համեստ դեղագործ Մայքլը թողել է իր գյուղն ու մեկնել Կոստանդնուպոլիս՝ բժշկություն ուսումնասիրելու։ Քրիսը ֆոտոլրագրող է, որը ևս Կոստանդնուպոլիս է եկել, որպեսզի լուսաբանի քաղաքական տարբեր հարցեր։ Նա հարաբերություններ ունի Փարիզում սովորած հայ նկարչուհու՝ Աննայի հետ։ Աննայի ու Մայքլի հանդիպման պատճառով տղաների միջև մրցակցություն է սկսվում։ Այս շրջանում զարգանում է Առաջին աշխարհամարտը, ու երիտասարդները ծանր դրության մեջ են հայտնվում։
