«Հրապարակ» օրաթերթը գրում է. «Ազգային ժողով անցած պատգամավորության թեկնածուների նախնական ցանկն ուսումնասիրելիս գրեթե համոզվում ես, որ վեցերորդ գումարման խորհրդարանը զիջելու է նախորդ խորհրդարանին՝ իր որակով, գույներով, մասնագիտական պատրաստվածությամբ։ Ճիշտ է՝ երիտասարդների մի խոստումնալից խումբ է մտնում, հանձին «Ելքի» ներկայացուցիչների, բայց բացակայելու են հմուտ պառլամենտականներ, ԱԺ պատերի ներսում թրծված որոշ գործիչներ, վառ անհատականություններ։ Հնարավոր չէ չափսոսալ, որ Ազգային ժողովում չի լինելու Հրանտ Բագրատյանը, որի պատգամավորական «ՕԳԳ»-ն հաստատ ավելի բարձր է, քան շատ շատերինը։
Ափսոս, որ խորհրդարանում չենք տեսնելու Զարուհի Փոստանջյանին, Էլինար Վարդանյանին, Վարդան Օսկանյանին, Վահե Հովհաննիսյանին, Արամ Մանուկյանին, Արտակ Դավթյանին, Լեւոն Զուրաբյանին, Թեւան Պողոսյանին եւ ուրիշների։ Անգամ Վարդան Այվազյանի բացակայությունը նկատելի կլինի խորհրդարանում, եթե ինչ-որ եղանակ չգտնեն նրան ԱԺ մտցնելու։ Վերլուծելով ապագա խորհրդարանի մասնագիտական պատրաստվածությունը, դժվար չէ չնկատել, որ տնտեսագետների, իրավաբանների, օրենքների վրա աշխատելու ունակ անձանց պակաս է զգացվելու։
Իհարկե, տարեցտարի խորհրդարանը վերածել են ավելի շատ օրենք հաստատող, քան օրենք գրող մարմնի, բայց այդ աշխատանքի հմտություններ ունեցող անձանց մի խումբ պարտադիր պետք է լինի Ազգային ժողովում, որ գոնե գտնեն ու բացահայտեն կառավարության մշակած օրենքների թերությունները, առաջարկներ անեն եւ ուղղումներ մտցնեն։ Խորհրդարանում օգտակար կլիներ նաեւ պաշտպանության նախկին նախարարի ներկայությունը՝ Սեյրան Օհանյանը զինվորականի բարեխղճությամբ կարող էր լավ օրենսդիր լինել։ ԱԺ-ում վատ չէին նայվի նաեւ Արմեն Մարտիրոսյանը, Անահիտ Բախշյանը, Ստյոպա Սաֆարյանը»։
