 Norte de Ciudad Juarez մեքսիկական թերթի խմբագրությունը հայտնել Է, որ կիրակնօրյա համարը դարձել Է վերջինը: Հրատարակության թողարկումը դադարեցնելու որոշման պատճառը դարձել Է լրագրողի սպանությունը եւ ընդհանուր առմամբ երկրում տիրող քրեածին իրադրությունը, տեղեկացնում Է «Արմենպրես»-ը՝ հղում անելով BBC-ին:
 
Ապրիլի 2-ին տպագրվել Է թերթի վերջին համարը: Այժմ հրատարակությունն իր թողարկումները կշարունակի ինտերնետ-տարբերակով: 
 
Թերթի լրագրողուհի Միրոսլավ Բրիչին մարտ ամսին գնդակահարել են Չիխուախուա քաղաքում: Բացի նրանից, մարտին սպանվել են եւս երկու լրագրողներ:
 
Բրիչը նյութեր Էր գրում կազմակերպված հանցավորության եւ Չիխուախուա նահանգի պաշտոնյաների միջեւ կապերի մասին: Նրա վրա կրակել են ութ անգամ, երբ նա իր մեքենայի մեջ Է գտնվում տան մոտ: 
 
Մեքենայի մեջ Բրիչի կողքին եղել Է նրա երեխան, բայց նա չի տուժել: Մարդասպանը հանցագործության վայրում գրություն Է թողել. «Սա չափազանց բարձր խոսելուդ համար Է»: 
 
Norte de Ciudad Juarez-ի խմբագիր Օսկար Կանտուն ասել Է, որ ոչ ոք անվտանգության ոչ մի երաշխիք չի կարող տալ լրագրողներին: 
 
«Կյանքում ամեն ինչ ունի սկիզբ ու վերջ, եւ գին, որը հարկավոր Է վճարել, բայց եթե այդ գինը մարդու կյանքն Է, ես պատրաստ չեմ իմ աշխատակիցների կամ ուրիշ մեկի կյանքով վճարել»,-ասել Է Կանտուն:  
 
1992 թվականից ի վեր Մեքսիկայում սպանվել են 35 լրագրողներ, նրանցից շատերը մահվանից առաջ ենթարկվել են խոշտանգումների. սրանք են այն տվյալները, որոնք տրամադրվել են Մեքսիկայի Լրագրողների պաշտպանության կոմիտեի կողմից: 
 
Եվս 50 լրագրողներ այդ նույն ժամանակաշրջանում սպանվել են չպարզված հանգամանքներում:
