Ապրիլի 1-ին աշխարհում նշում են երգիծանքի օրը

Երգիծանքի և հումորի օրն ամբողջ աշխարհում նշվում է ապրիլի 1-ին: Համաշխարհային տոնը սիրված է և նշվում է աշխարհում: Ընդունված է այս օրը կատակներ անել և փորձել ինչ-որ մեկին համոզել, թե հենց դա է ճշմարտությունը: ՀՀ կառավարության 2006թ. փետրվարի 16-ի հատուկ որոշմամբ ապրիլի մեկը պետականորեն ճանաչվել է որպես Հումորի և երգիծանքի պաշտոնական օր: Սա նշանակալի իրադարձություն էր այն առումով, որ նախ պետությունը կարևորեց հումորի և երգիծանքի դերն ու նշանակությունը, ապա հաղթահարվեց խաբել քարոզող «խրախուսանքը»:
Տոնի ծագման ամենաազդեցիկ տարբերակներից մեկը կապում են նրա հետ, որ սկզբնապես ապրիլի 1-ը շատ երկրներում նշվում էր որպես գարնանային գիշերահավասարի և Զատկի օր: Գարնանային նոր տարվա առիթով տոնակատարությունները ուղեկցվում էին կատակներով ու զվարճալի չարություններով, ուրախ խաղերով:
Մեկ այլ, Ծիծաղի օրվա առաջացման նույնպես տարածում ստացած տարբերակը կապված է Գրիգորիանական օրացույցին անցման հետ, որը կատարել է Հռոմի Պապ Գրիգորը 1582 թ.: Բանն այն է, որ Նոր տարին միջին դարերում նշվում էր ոչ թե հունվարի 1-ին, այլ մարտի վերջին, մինչև 1563-1564 թթ. Կարլ Տասերորդը (King Charles IX) Ֆրանսիայում բարեփոխման ենթարկեց օրացույցը: Այդ պատճառով Նոր տարվա շաբաթը սկսվում էր մարտի 25-ին և ավարտվում ապրիլի 1-ին:
