 Հայաստանի ԱԳ նախարար Էդվարդ Նալբանդյանը մարտի 31-ին ընդունեց Եվրոպական խորհրդարանի մի խումբ պատգամավորների, ովքեր Հայաստան են ժամանել ապրիլի 2-ին կայանալիք խորհրդարանական ընտրություններին Եվրոպական խորհրդարանի դիտորդական առաքելությանը մասնակցելու նպատակով։ Այս մասին «Արմենպրես»-ին տեղեկացրին ՀՀ արտաքին գործերի նախարարության մամուլի, տեղեկատվության և հասարակայնության հետ կապի վարչությունից:

Զրույցի ընթացքում մտքեր փոխանակվեցին կայանալիք խորհրդարանական ընտրությունների նախապատրաստական աշխատանքների վերաբերյալ։ Այս համատեքստում նախարար Նալբանդյանը նշեց, որ սահմանադրական բարեփոխումներից հետո ընտրական գործընթացի հանդեպ հանրային վստահության առավել ամրապնդման նպատակով խորհրդարանական քաղաքական խմբակցությունների, ինչպես նաև քաղաքացիական հասարակության ներկայացուցիչների ներգրավմամբ համաձայնություն ձեռք բերվեց ընտրական օրենսգրքի փոփոխությունների շուրջ։ Նա հավելեց, որ Հայաստանի կառավարությունը շարունակում է անել ամն հնարավորը, որպեսզի ընտրություններն անցնեն միջազգային բարձր չափանիշներին համապատասխան։

Հանդիպման ընթացքում քննարկվեցին Հայաստան - Եվրոպական միություն հարաբերությունների ամրապնդմանն ուղղված քայլերը, խորհրդարանական ձևաչափով համագործակցությանը վերաբերող հարցեր։

Երկուստեք գոհունակություն հայտնվեց Հայաստանի և Եվրոպական միության միջև Համապարփակ և ընդլայնված գործընկերության համաձայնագրի շուրջ բանակցությունների ավարտի կապակցությամբ։

Հյուրերի խնդրանքով նախարար Նալբանդյանը ներկայացրեց տարածաշրջանային և միջազգային մի շարք խնդիրների վերաբերյալ Հայաստանի մոտեցումները։

ԱԳՆ ղեկավարը Եվրոպական խորհրդարանի պատգամավորներին տեղեկացրեց Հայաստանի և ԵԱՀԿ Մինսկի խմբի համանախագահ պետությունների համատեղ ջանքերի մասին՝ ուղղված հիմնախնդրի խաղաղ կարգավորման առաջ մղմանը:
