 Իսպանիայի Պետրեր քաղաքի քաղաքային խորհուրդը մարտի 30-ին ընդունեց Հայոց ցեղասպանությունը ճանաչող և դատապարտող ինստիտուցիոնալ հայտարարություն, որին համապատասխան հայտարարություններով իրենց աջակցությունը հայտնեցին խորհրդում ներկայացված գրեթե բոլոր քաղաքական ուժերը։ Այս մասին «Արմենպրես»-ին տեղեկացրին Իսպանիայում Հայաստանի եսպանությունից:

Քաղաքային խորհրդի կողմից այս որոշման ընդունմանը նախորդել էր նախկինում նույնպես Հայոց ցեղասպանությունը ճանաչած Էլդա քաղաքի հայերի «Արարատ» միության կողմից կազմակերպված և Մադրիդի «Հայ տուն» միության օժանդակությամբ և մասնակցությամբ իրականացված «Խաղաղությունը և համերաշխությունն ընդդեմ բռնության» խորագրով մշակութային-տեղեկատվական երեկոն: Միջոցառման հյուրերը, որոնց թվում էին նաև քաղաքային իշխանությունների ներկայացուցիչները, դասախոսություն-քննարկման, կարճատև վավերագրական տեղեկատվական ֆիլմերի ցուցադրման, հայկակ ան մշակույթի նմուշների և կատարումների միջոցով ծանոթացան հայ ժողովրդի պատմության ամենամութ էջերին, ինչպես նաև Հայոց ցեղասպանության քաղաքական, տնտեսական, իրավական և մշակութային հետևանքներին:

Մշակութային-տեղեկատվական երեկոյին հաջորդեց գեղանկարչական ցուցահանդեսի բացումը, որտեղ ցուցադրված էին ՀՀ վաստակավոր նկարչուհի Աննա Հարությունյանի, Իսպանիայում բնակվող նկարչուհի, արվեստի պատմության և տեսության մասնագետ Անահիտ Օհանյանի և Երևանի Ք․Քուշնարյանի անվան արվեստի դպրոցի սաների աշխատանքները:
