«168 ժամ» թերթը գրում է.

«Հայաստանի իրավունքն է՝ որոշել՝ մասնակցե՞լ այդ զորավարժություններին, թե՞ ոչ։ Չեմ կարծում, թե սա Մոսկվայի հետ քննարկված որոշում չէ, քանի որ ՀՀ Պաշտպանության նորանշանակ նախարարն իր նշանակումից անմիջապես հետո եղել է ինչպես՝ Մոսկվայում, այնպես էլ՝ Թբիլիսիում, բավականին հագեցած այցերով, Բրյուսելում ՀՀ նախագահ Սերժ Սարգսյանը հանդիպել էր ՆԱՏՕ-ի ղեկավարության հետ վերջերս, որից հետո եղել է նաեւ Ռուսաստանում։ Կարծում եմ՝ այդ այցերի ընթացքում էլ այս հարցերը քննարկվել եւ հստակեցվել են։ Չեմ կարծում` Երեւանն անտեղյակ լինի, թե ինչպիսին կլինի Մոսկվայի արձագանքը»,- «168 ժամ»-ի թղթակցի հետ զրույցում անդրադառնալով Վրաստանում անցկացվելիք ՆԱՏՕ-ի զորավարժություններին ՀՀ մասնակցության մասին տեղեկությանը՝ այս մասին է ասել ռուս ռազմական վերլուծաբան Պավել Ֆելգենգաուերը։

Թբիլիսիի «Եվրոպական ուսումնասիրությունների կենտրոնի» ղեկավար, քաղաքագետ Կախա Գոգոլաշվիլին էլ ասել է՝ եթե Հայաստանը խորացնում է Մոսկվայի հետ ռազմական հարաբերությունները՝ զուգահեռաբար համաձայնագիր նախաստորագրելով Բրյուսելի հետ, մասնակցելով ՆԱՏՕ-ի զորավարժության, նշանակում է՝ կարողացել է լեզու գտնել Մոսկվայի հետ եւ երաշխիքներ տալ, որ Հայաստանը չի անցնի կարմիր գիծը, քանի որ իսկապես տպավորություն է, որ Հայաստանը բավականին ազատ է գործում Արեւմուտքի հետ, այնինչ հայտնի է, թե ինչպես է գործում պուտինյան քաղաքականությունը։

«Ինձ համար դրական անակնկալ էր Հայաստանի մասնակցության լուրը, քանի որ վերջին մեկ տարվա ընթացքում Հայաստանն է՛լ ավելի է խորացրել իր ռազմական համագործակցությունը Ռուսաստանի հետ։ Այս ֆոնին տպավորություն էր ստեղծվում, թե Հայաստանը չի կարողանալու շարունակել Արեւմուտքի հետ նույնիսկ ամենափոքր համագործակցությունները հաջողել, ինչպիսին Ասոցացման համաձայնագիրն էր»,- ասել է նա»:
