Առաջին կեսում չկարողացանք մեր պահերն օգտագործել, երկրորդում կարողացանք, մինչև վերջ հավատում էինք մեր ուժերին և փորձում խաղալ այնպես, ինչպես մարզիչը մեզանից պահանջում էր: Այդ մասին լրագրողների հետ զրույցում ասաց Հայաստանի ազգային հավաքականի ավագ Հենրիխ Մխիթարյանը՝ ԱԱ-2018 ընտրական փուլի Հայաստան -Ղազախստան խաղից (2-0) հետո:

«Ծանր աշխատանք տարանք՝ ոչ միայն ֆիզիկապես, այլև՝ հոգեպես, քանի որ շատ ուշադիր պետք է գործեիքն պաշտպանությունում, ինչպես նաև՝ ամենակարևորը տղաները հիմա շատ բարձր տրամադրությամբ կվերադառնան իրենց ակումբներ»,- ասաց Մխիթարյանը:

Իր խաղի մասին խոսելիս՝ Մխիթարյանը նշեց, որ ինքը չի կարող միշտ տանել հավաքականին իր հետևից: «Տղաները պետք է կարողանան պատասխանատվություն վերցնել և կարողանան փոխարինել ինձ: Ես փորձում եմ անել հնարավոր ամեն բան հավաքականին օգնելու համար, լինում են դեպքեր՝ ստացվում են, լինում են դեպքեր՝ չեն ստացվում»,- նշեց նա:

Ինչ վերաբերվում է երկրպագուներին, ապա, ըստ Հ. Մխիթարյանի, միշտ հաճելի է տեսնել լեփ-լեցուն մարզադաշտ. «Լավ կլինի էլ ավելի շատ մարզասեր տեսնել խաղադաշտում: Քանի որ մենք նրանց համար ենք խաղում, հաղթում ենք նրանց համար և կցանկանայինք, որ էլ ավելի շատ մարդ լինի մարզադաշտում»:

Անդրադառնալով Գևորգ Ղազարյանի վնասվածքին՝ Մխիթարյանը նշեց. «Չեմ կարող ասել, թե դա փոխեց թիմի պլանները, քանի որ նա վնասվածք ստացավ հենց առաջին րոպեին: Տիգրան Բարսեղյանը վատ հանդես չեկավ, շատ ակտիվ էր ու փորձում էր թիմին օգնել իր սրություններով: Գևորգ Ղազարյանին առողջություն եմ մաղթում, դա ավելի կարևոր է, քան այս հաղթանակը»:

Խոսելով 20-րդ գոլի մասին` Մխիթարյանն ասաց. «Պաշտոնական խաղում, չեմ հի՛ում, երբ էի վերջին գոլը խփել: Եթե չեմ սխալվում 3 տարի առաջ՝ Դանիայի հետ արտագնա խաղում: Դա այդքան էլ կարևոր չէ, կարևորն այն է, որ այսօր հաղթեցինք»:
