Մարմնամարզության Հայաստանի հավաքականի անդամ, աշխարհի գավաթակիր Արթուր Թովմասյանը Դոհայի աշխարհ գավաթի խաղարկության ոսկե մեդալը համարում է հավաքական թիմի հաջողությունը:

«Միշտ զերծ ենք մնում գնահատականներ տալ՝ թողնելով այն մարզիչներին և հանդիսականին: Ելույթիցս գոհ եմ այնքանով, որքանով գոհ են մարզիչներս, վերջիվերջո ես վարժություն կատարողն եմ, իսկ մարզիչները մասնագիտորեն են տեսնում այդ ամենը: Փառք Աստծո, լավ ստացվեց և հաջողված ելույթ էր: Վնասվածքից հետո սա իմ առաջին միջազգային մրցաշարն էր, և բնական է, որ լարվածություն կար, ինչ-որ տեղ նաև անվստահություն մինչև որակավորման փուլը: Այս հաղթանակը, բոլորիս հաղթանակն է և բոլորիս աշխատանքի արդյունքը: Մենք չունենք անհատական մեդալներ, մեր մեդալները բոլորին ս են»,-«Արմենպրես»-ի հետ զրույցում ասաց Թովմասյանը:

Խոսելով հակառակորդների մասին Թովմասյանը փաստեց, որ օղակների վարժությունում թեժ պայքար էր ընթանում: «Առաջին քառյակում բավականին ուժեղ տղաներ էին: Չեմ կարող առանձնացնել: Առաջին քառյակի դասավորվածությունը շատ հանգիստ կարող էր այլ կերպ լինել: Բոլորն էլ փորձառու մասնագետներ են: Արծաթե մեդալակիր ուկրաինացի մարզիկը Եվրոպայի նախկին չեմպիոնն էր: Եվ այս անգամ էլ կատարելագործված վարժությունով էր ներկայացել: Ես ևս բարդացված վարժությամբ էի ներկայացել: Հայաստանի առաջնությունում ավելի թույլ ծրագրով էի ներկայացել, բայց հասցրեցինք նոր վա րժություն մշակել և ներկայանալ աշխարհի գավաթի խաղարկությանը»,-ասաց աշխարհի գավաթակիրը:

Դոհայում ընթացող մարմնամարզության աշխարհի գավաթի խաղարկությունում կայացել է օղակների վարժության եզրափակիչը: Հայաստանը ներկայացնող Արթուր Թովմասյանը 15.133 միավորով գրավել է առաջին տեղը՝ արժանանալով ոսկե մեդալի:
