Ահաբեկչությունն այնպիսի չարիք է, որը կարող է երեւան գալ ցանկացած վայրում: «ՄԻՐ» հեռուստաալիքին տված հարցազրույցում մեկնաբանելով Լոնդոնի ահաբեկչությունը՝ այս մասին հայտարարել է Հայաստանի նախագահ Սերժ Սարգսյանը:
«Ահաբեկչությունն այնպիսի չարիք է, որը կարող է երեւան գալ ցանկացած վայրում: Այդ պատճառով անընդհատ պետք է զգոն լինել: Անընդհատ պետք է միջոցներ ձեռնարկել: Ես հրաշալի հասկանում եմ, որ ե՛ւ Լոնդոնում, ե՛ւ Փարիզում հսկայական միջոցներ են ծախսում անվտանգության համար, բայց դա իրականում հանցագործություն է, որի իրագործումն անհնար է կանխատեսել: Այլ հարց է, երբ տեսանելի թշնամի կա: Այլ հարց է, որ փախստականի անվան տակ կարող են Եվրոպա թափանցել մարդիկ, որոնց խնդիրը բոլորովին այլ է: Դրա դեմ պայքարելը շատ դժվար է»,- նշել է Հայաստանի նախագահը:
Հիշեցնենք, որ մարտի 22-ին Լոնդոնի կենտրոնում անհայտ տղամարդը մեքենայով վրաերթի էր ենթարկել անցորդներին, իսկ հետո դանակով հարձակվել ոստիկանի վրա: Հարձակվողին գնդակահարել են, իսկ վիրավոր ոստիկանն ավելի ուշ մահացել է հիվանդանոցում:
Բրիտանական ոստիկանությունը նշել է Վեսթմինիսթերյան ահաբեկչի անունը: Նա Բրիտանիայի 52-ամյա քաղաքացի Հալիդ Մասուդն է:
