«Կետային բուժումը» դա կետային մերսում է, որի արդյունավետությունը հաստատել են բավականին շատ գիտական հետազոտություններ։ Իր բնույթով այս բուժումը նման է ասեղնաբուժությանը և ռեֆելքսաթերապիային, սակայն այդ կիրառելու համար անհրաժեշտ չէ ունենալ հատուկ բժշկական գիտելիքներ։

Սկզբի համար պետք է հարմարավետ դիրք ընդունել և լիցքաթափվել։ Կետերի մերսումը շատ ժամանակ չի տանի՝ միջինում 30 – 60 վայրկյան։ Կետերը պետք է մերսել թեթևակիորեն սեղմելով կամ պտտաձև շարժումով։ Սովորաբար գլխացավն անցնում է մերսման ընթացքում կամ մերսման ավարտից 5 – 10 րոպե անց։
