Լոնդոնում կատարված ահաբեկչական գործողության հետեւանքով զոհվածների թիվը հասել է հինգի

 Հինգ մարդ, ներառյալ հարձակվողը, զոհվել եւ ավելի քան 40-ը վիրավորվել են Լոնդոնի կենտրոնում՝ խորհրդարանի շենքի մոտ, կատարված ահաբեկչական գործողության հետեւանքով: Ոստիկանությունը կարծում Է, որ Վեստմինստերյան կամրջին անցորդներին վրաերթի ենթարկած եւ ոստիկանին դանակահարած չարագործը կարող Է կապված լինել արմատական իսլամիստների հետ, տեղեկացնում Է «Արմենպրես»-ը՝ հղում անելով BBC-ին: 
Մարտի 22-ի ցերեկը տեղական ժամանակով 14:40-ին (Երեւանի ժամանակով 18:40-ին) տղամարդն ավտոմոբիլով կանխամտածված անցել Է Վեստմինստերյան կամրջի մայթ եւ սկսել տակը գցել անցորդներին: Այնուհետեւ ավտոմոբիլը թեքվել Է դեպի Մեծ Բրիտանիայի խորհրդարանի շենքը եւ բախվել Վեստմինստերյան պալատի պարսպին: Ղեկի առջեւ գտնվող տղամարդը դանակով դուրս Է նետվել ավտոմեքենայից եւ վազել դեպի խորհրդարանի շենքը, որտեղ նրա ճանապարը փակել են ոստիկանները:     
Տղամարդը դանակով հարձակվել Է անզեն ոստիկանի վրա: Այնուհետեւ վրա Է հասել զինված ոստիկանական կարգախումբը, որը գնդակահարել Է հարձակվողին:
Արդեն ուշ երեկոյան Սկոթլանդ յարդի հակաահաբեկչական ստորաբաժանման ղեկավար Մարկ Ռոուլին հայտնել Է, որ չարագործի ինքնությունն արդեն պարզվել Է, սակայն մանրամասնությունների մեջ չի մտել:  
Մեծ Բրիտանիայի վարչապետ Թերեզա Մեյը պատահարը որակել Է հրեշավոր եւ նողկալի հարձակում: Ահաբեկչական գործողությունից  շատ չանցած Մեյը հրավիրել Է արտակարգ իրավիճակների կառավարական կոմիտեի՝ COBRA-ի նիստ: «Հարձակման վայրն ընտրվել Է ոչ պատահաբար: Ահաբեկիչը որոշել Էր հարված հասցնել մեր երկրի հենց սրտում»,- լրագրողներին հայտարարել Է Մեյն այդ նիստից հետո:   
Սկոթլանդ յարդն ասում Է, որ հարձակվողը գործել Է միայնակ: Միեւնույն ժամանակ ոստիկանությունն ստուգում Է, թե նա գործել Է արդյոք սեփական նախաձեռնությամբ, թե ունեցել Է հանցակիցներ: Իշխանությունները պարզում են բազաթիվ տուժածների ինքնությունը: Հարձակման պահին Վեստմինստերյան կամրջին Էին գտնվում մի խումբ ֆրանսիացի դպրոցականներ, նրանցից երեքը վիրավորվել են:      
Տուժել են նաեւ երեք ոստիկաններ, որոնք գնում Էին կամրջով՝ վերադառնալով պարգեւատրման արարողությունից: Վիրավորների թվում են Լանքաշիրի կոմսության Էջ Հիլի համալսարանի չորս ուսանողներ: Լոնդոնի «շտապ օգնության» աշխատակիցները հայտարարել են, որ լուրջ վնասվածքներով 12 մարդ տեղափոխվել Է հիվանդանոցներ:
Առայժմ ծայրահեղական կազմակերպություններից ոչ մեկը չի ստանձնել լոնդոնյան հարձակման պատասխանատվությունը, որն իր սցենարով նման Է Նիսում եւ Բեռլինում կատարված ահաբեկչական գործողություններին, որտեղ հանցագործներն ավտոմեքենայի տակ են գցել մարդկանց, ինչպես նաեւ Իսրայելում, որտեղ նմանօրինակ գրոհները լայն տարածում Էին գտել ոչ վաղ անցյալում:
