Գրիպով վարակված հղի կանայք ինքնաբուժմամբ չպետք է զբաղվեն, քանի որ դա կարող է վնաս պատճառել նրանց եւ ապագա երեխայի առողջությանը: Գրիպի առաջին իսկ ախտանշանների երեւան գալու դեպքում ցանկալի է դիմել գինեկոլոգ մանկաբարձին, որը հետեւում է հղիության ընթացքին՝ նա կկարողանա գնահատել հիվանդի վիճակը եւ որոշել՝ նա բուժման կարի՞ք ունի, եթե այո, ապա՝ ինչպիսի:

Մասնագետի խոսքով՝ գրիպի վիրուսն առանձնապես վտանգավոր է հղիության առաջին եւ երրորդ ամսում, եւ չնայած այն չի կարող այնպիսի ծանր հետեւանքներ առաջացնել, ինչպես, օրինակ, Զիկա վիրուսը, միեւնույն է, հղիներին խորհուրդ է տրվում վիրուսից խուսափել, իսկ վարակվելու դեպքում ճիշտ, գրագետ բուժում ստանալ, որը կկանխի բարդությունները ինչպես իր՝ կնոջ, այնպես էլ պտղի համար: Հղիներին խորհուրդ չի տրվում ինքնուրույն, առանց բժշկի հետ խորհրդակցելու դեղեր ընդունել, քանի որ շատ դեղեր կարող են նրանց հակացուցված լինել:
