«Մյուռոնօրհնեքի արարողությունը տարբերվում Էր նախորդներից՝ սահմանին առկա լարվածությունը պատերազմականի վերաճելու միտումներ էր դրսևորում։ Մյուռոնի կաթսային ձեռքը հպելուց անմիջապես հետո Սերժ Սարգսյանն ուղևորվելու էր «Զվարթնոց» օդանավակայան՝ մեկնելու Նյու Յորքում տեղի ունեցող ՄԱԿ-ի 70-ամյակի գագաթնաժողովին։

 Ի դեպ, այս տարվա էջմիածնի խաչքավոր Սամվել Կարապետյանն արարողությանը եկավ Սամվել Ալեքսանյանի ուղեկցությամբ։ Երբ Լֆիկին հարցրինք՝ բա ուր է Ձեր մեդալակիր ընկերը՝ Գագիկ Ծառուկյանը, ասաց. «Տեղյակ չեմ», ու հետո հավատացյալների հետ դրսում երկար սպասեց, որ Վեհափառի մոտից Ս. Կարապետյանը դուրս գա, միասին մեկնեն Երևան՝ այդ ողջ ընթացքում ստիպված լինելով բոլոր իրեն մոտեցողներին փող բաժանել, որոնց մեջ, ի դեպ, տարեց ազատամարտիկներ կային։ Արարողությանն այս տարի ներկա չէր ԼՂ նախագահ Բակո Սահակյանը. մյուռոնօրհնեքին ԼՂ նախագահները մշտապես նստած են լինում ՀՀ նախագահների կողքին։

 Չկար նաև պաշտպանության նախարար Սեյրան Օհանյանը։ Սերժ Սարգսյանի կողքին առոք-փառոք նստել էր Արկադի Ղուկասյանը՝ տիկնոջ հետ, ապա՝ Հովիկ Աբրահամյանը։ Վերջինս խիստ խորասուզված էր ինքն իր մեջ. ողջ արարողության ժամանակ կենտրոնացած, երբեմն աչքերը փակ՝ ունկնդրում էր։ Բավականին հոգնած՝ Ցեղասպանության 100-ամյակի հանձնաժողովի նիստից հետո դեպի ԱՄՆ «շտապող» Վիգեն Սարգսյանը միանգամից սթափվեց, ամբողջովին նյարդ դարձավ, երբ երկնքում՝ շատ հեռվից ռազմական ինքնաթիռի ձայն լսվեց։ Հայացքը երկինք ուղղած՝ փորձում էր հասկանալ, թե ինչ է կատարվում, բայց ընդամենը ուսումնավարժական թռիչք էր»,–գրում է թերթը։
