ԱՄՆ արդարադատության նախարարությունը քննում է Wells Fargo-ի ներգրավվածությունը խարդախությանը

ԱՄՆ արդարադատության նախարարությունը քննում է ԱՄՆ-ի իր մեծությամբ երրորդ բանկի՝ Wells Fargo-ի ղեկավարության դերը չթույլատրված հաշիվների գործում, հայտնում է Reuters-ը: Նախարարությունում կարծում են, որ բանկի ղեկավարությունը կարող էր այդ գործընթացներին ուղղակիորեն ներգրավված լինել:
Այս շաբաթ նախարարության ներկայացուցիչները հանդիպել են Շառլոտի (Հյուսիսային Կարոլինայի նահանգ) բանկի ստուգողներին՝ նպատակ ունենալով տեղեկանալ, թե որ մակարդակի աշխատակիցները կկարողանային կեղծ բանկային հաշիվներ բացել եւ արդյոք բանկի ղեկավարները ներգրավվել են այդ գործունեությանը: Դրան զուգահեռ՝ Քալիֆորնիայի նահանգում ստեղծվում է երդվյալ ատենակալների մեծ ժյուրի եւ քննչական ծանուցագրեր են ուղարկվում, որոնք ստացողների թվում ներառված են Wells Fargo-ի նախկին աշխատակիցները:
Սեպտեմբերի 8-ին կարգավորիչները (Consumer Financial Protection Bureau եւ Office of the Comptroller of the Currency) եւ Լոս Անջելեսի դատախազությունը հայտարարել էին բանկի հետ ձեռք բերված կարգավորման մասին՝ կապված հաճախորդների անունից, առանց նրանց տեղեկության, 2 մլն-ի հաշիվներ բացելու հետ: Դա Wells Fargo-ի համար 190 մլն դոլար է արժեցել: Սեպտեմբերին բանկը պաշտոնապես հայտարարել էր իր գլխավոր տնօրեն եւ նախագահ Ջոն Սթամփի հրաժարականի մասին: Նոր գլխավոր տնօրեն էր դարձել փոխնախագահ եւ բանկի օպերացիոն տնօրեն Թիմոթի Սլոունը: 2016-ի հոկտեմբերին հայտնի է դարձել, որ Քալիֆորիայի նահանգի գլխավոր դատախազությունը Wells Fargo-ի դեմ քրեական գործի քննություն է սկսել: Քալիֆորնիայի գլխավոր դատախազը կարգադրել է կալանել բանկի փաստաթղթերը:
