Ջոն Քերին պաշտոն Է ստացել Քառնեգիի հիմնադրամում

ԱՄՆ-ի նախկին պետքարտուղար Ջոն Քերին կդառնա Վաշինգտոնում Քառնեգիի հիմնադրամի փորձագետ: Այդ մասին, ինչպես տեղեկացնում Է «Արմենպրես»-ը, մարտի 2-ին հայտնել Է ՌԻԱ Նովոստին՝ հղում անելով կազմակերպության նախագահ Ուիլյամ Բյոռնսին:
Նա նշել Է, որ Քերիի փորձը չափազանց անհրաժեշտ Է Հիմնադրամին: «Ջոն Քերիի կողմից ամբողջ աշխարհում խաղաղության պաշտպանումը համապատասխանում Է Քառնեգիի հիմնադրամի առաքելությանը»,-ընդգծել Է Բյոռնսը, որը ժամանակին եղել Է Քերիի տեղակալը:
Նշվում Է, որ նախկին պետքարտուղարը կկենտրոնանա միջազգային հակամարտությունների խնդիրների եւ շրջակա միջավայրի պահպանության բնագավառի մարտահրավերների վրա:
Փետրվարի կեսերին հայտնի Է դարձել, որ դիվանագետը կմիանա Ելի համալսարանի դասախոսական կազմին: Ելի համալսարանի 1966 թվականի շրջանավարտը ղեկավարելու Է «Քերիի նախաձեռնությունը» նախագիծը, որը նվիրված Է համաշխարհային քաղաքականությանը:
Ջոն Քերին 73 տարեկան Է: Նա ԱՄՆ-ի պետքարտուղարի պաշտոնն զբաղեցրել Է 2013 թվականի փետրվարի 1-ից մինչեւ 2017 թվականի հունվարի 20-ը:
Քառնեգիի հիմնադրամը մասնավոր ոչ առեւտրային կազմակերպություն Է, որն իր հիմնական նպատակն Է հայտարարել երկրների միջեւ համագործակցությանն օժանդակելը: Այն հիմնվել Է 1910 թվականին եւ կոչվում Է ամերիկացի գործարար Էնդրյու Քառնեգիի անունով, որը 1903 թվականի մայիսի 11-ին 1,5 մլն դոլար Է տրամադրել Խաղաղության պալատի կառուցման համար: Վաշինգտոնում գտնվում Է կազմակերպության գլխադաս բաժանմունքը:
